I didn't watch it, but I guess I will have to watch it. It's getting good reviews and Christian Laettner himself is getting kudo's for his live tweeting during the first showing. He posted video's of live calls he made to fans during the show and in general seemed to have a lot of fun with it. Even apologized to the guy he stomped on during the tourney. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the-dagger/christian-laettner-live-tweeting-his-30-for-30-was-almost-as-good-as-the-show-031500917.html I think it's interesting that that 1991 final between Duke and UNLV was a rematch and UNLV had beaten Duke by 30 points the year before. UNLV was undefeated, like Kentucky, and UNLV and esp Tarkanian was considered a rogue program by most people. But they were also billed as possibly one of the greatest NCAA teams ever. But Laettner and Duke beat them. This year we have the same senario with Kentucky....who will beat them?
 Kentucky is no super team and NONE of these teams are as good as the teams 25 years ago. Almost none of the players stay until their senior year in modern times. Anybody could win it. OK...maybe not Hampton, but a lot of teams could win it.
And this is why the NBA is unwatchable to most basketball purists. Poor fundamentals, average free throw shooting, zero playmaking.
ND <r><QUOTE><s> </e></QUOTE> Exactly! The NBA sucks and it's ruined what used to be my favorite sport, College Basketball. <br/> <br/> If these kids want to play in the NBA then so be it. If college ball is ever going to get back to what is was they need to quit this one and done nonsense and use the same rules as NCAA football. If you don't want to wait until you are three years out of HS then go straight to the NBA and stop acting like you are a college student. I couldn't tell you the names of any of the young men who start for Kentucky this season, none. Meaning? How can anyone develop any interest in these kids when they only stick around for a couple of semesters. They could care less about a college diploma and I'm sure most of them couldn't stand up to the real rigors of earning a 4 yr diploma. College isn't for everybody but let's stop pretending they are students. If you are good enough for the NBA then by all means go and earn your fortune there young man. If you're not, pick another vocation/career but don't go to a University knowing your not capable of making it academically. The schools and the NCAA should stop this and maybe we can return to a college basketball game where the regular season actually counts.</r>
