Came across a fun little daily driver and parade car. 2010 Mustang Premium Convertible. Nope, didn't sell any of the other vehicles... just added to the stable.

It is white with no stripes... I am going to order stripes from a company with which I have experience. They will be Tennessee orange of course. However, I can chose the text instead of "Mustang" on the rocker panel stripes. I am going with "VertiStang". I had toyed with the idea of "Tennessee" but that might limit who I could sell it to later.

The color is not the only part of the Tennessee theme. Texas now has University of Tennessee added to the College section of MyPlates.com. Our plates for it will be "2 Vols" with the Texas silhouette in the space making it "2 Texas Vols".

I got the car fairly cheap with it being winter and convertibles not being very popular in the winter. Also needs a tailshaft transmission seal and a pinion seal. I can do that blindfolded especially with my lift and the estimate was a little over $500. I'll be able to easily turn a $2000 profit on this car if I decide to sell come spring. Not planning on selling it anytime soon though.

What's that old saying? The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. You have some very nice "toys".

Actually... Technically... This one belongs to Cindy. I am in a heated debate with the Alamo City Mopar club (ACLX) over my status as a Mopar guy after buying the Shelby. They even TRIED to make Cindy and I park in different areas of San Antonio Raceway's pit area during a local event. They were unsuccessful since my resurgence in health has reactivated my lack of reluctance to physically express my desires. 8)

This car is my effort to drag Cindy away from the "Mopar or No Car" mentality of those supreme idiots! I am a true fan of any American Muscle. It pisses the ACLX guys off to hear me saying that the Challenger engine is built in Mexico and the car assembled in Canada. Since it has the Dodge SRT label, I still consider it American Muscle but you won't hear that from me around ACLX.

Cindy likes the VertiStang and that is now her daily driver. I take over the 2015 Dart as a daily driver unless there is a chance of frozen precipitation. She then takes the front wheel drive. Happens about two days per year here. Actually, since I work from home (have done so for the last 3 years), I don't drive much during the week... Weekends are when I drive quite a bit.

The Shelby and the SRT Challenger stay warm and dry in the big garage. Especially the Shelby... Making 604hp at the rear wheels, even a cold dry day feels like you are driving on ice. It is a warm to hot dry day fun ride!

Actually made a little more room in the garage. With my better health, my balance and back issues are a thing of the past. The Three wheeler (that I never liked in the first place) is gone. The two wheeler, Road Glide, took its place yesterday.

Pretty close comparison I believe! 8)

In mid 2000, I was teaching a class. My knowledge was top notch but my presentation skills still were a little rough. Humor was used quite a bit to keep the class attention. I was teaching an open enrolment class where people from around the world could sign up as long as they understood Southern English. One guy walked in with his Longhorns garb on. The class was a mix of 7 US and one Korean customer engineers. During introductions, it came out that I was a Tennessee fan. When it came time for the Texas guy to introduce himself, the first words out of his mouth were: Hook 'em Horns! I told him: "You know, if you had better personal hygiene habits, your orange wouldn't turn that dingy color. I relocated to Austin because I could stand in the middle of 6th street and yell Go UT and the locals would love me!!!" The rest of the class loved it... except for maybe the Korean student that did not get the meaning.

We just last night received word that the Hellcat Charger is in the production line. We have a VIN and a projected ship date of 10-Feb. I have no idea how long it will take to get here from the time it is shipped.

That 10-Feb ship date was going to be pretty close if it was not for the snow and ice in the North that prevented it from being loaded. It is now in transit and is scheduled for delivery on 9-March. 2-March was the last date that required both a safety inspection sticker and a registration sticker on the windshield. The delays at least bought us that.

Introducing the "Stormtrooper" Hellcat Charger. This depicts the way Cindy ordered it:

This is a picture od the time Lord Vader had a sleep over... Vader's owner, Barbara, was moving to a new house in our area from Georgetown and we were "baby sitting" Vader during the move. I call this one, Shelby 69: (The red box was used to show a friend the addition of a lift jack that he may be interested in since he has the same lift)

We traded my Challenger for a Hellcat Charger 2 days ago. Some pictures of the Hellcat and some with the Hellcat and the Shelby.
