Scott that was fantastic and believe it or not I can TRULY relate....Central Florida is almost identical to Texas take away a square mile or two...We are not as large as the great state of Texas. But we had only a Burger King as THE chain restaurant in town and the community thrived and excelled in sports and being a good neighbor.

Hats off to the teachers and parents of everyone involved.....

Currently I manage a Large agriculture investment 30 miles from the nearest gas station much less a large urban area....Things have not changed very much and I am ok with this...

    Scott,

Thanks for sharing, a very heart warming experience. Probably not too many obese people around Guthrie with all of those eating places.

Do they play 6 man football in your state? Jack Pardee is the most famous 6 man football player, having gone from 6 man to A&M where he became a AA for Bear Bryant and eventually an All Pro and NFL HC.

From what I know in 6 man football, 1 player can make the difference. If you have that kid who is head and shoulders above the other kids you'll likely win all your games.

I think the smallest of the small schools play 8 man football. Do they play 6 man football in the parking lot?
