That explains his uncharacteristic inaccuracy. In all the games I've seen him play with the Colts and several with the Broncos, I've never seen him miss so many targets as much as yesterday. Given the description of the injury, he had to be playing with pain in his leg.

That's interesting. Of course, Manning didn't make a fuss. He never does.

I never say these words but Cowherd made a good point this morning. Just a few years ago, in the playoffs there were 6 big time QBs playing and none of them wound up comparing to Manning. This weekend, the one who looked like he didn't belong was Manning. He compared him to a HOF pitcher who has finally lost his fastball

I don't know if it's true, but that's a good comparison. One day it's just not there anymore.

Oh my the Pack really gagged that. The hands guy let's the ball hit his helmet, and the dB must have lost track of that moon ball or we wouldn't be going to OT.

Up next the nicest most polite Qb in football. Wind and rain to start the game. I liked Katherine McPhee better than this guy singing the anthem.

This was one whole day of ********.

The Pack lost this when they kicked FGs instead of scoring TDs. We can bitch about Bostick, but at least he showed some balls. WTF was Ha Ha-Dix doing on that 2 point conversion?

    Awful. Just awful.

    They puckered.

LOl...the Pat's just can't help themselves, if they aren't cheating they aren't trying...now they used illegally inflated footballs. I don't think it impacted the outcome but it shows you the mindset of the Organization, if you have to break the rules, don't worry as long as you win!! Rules are for losers! :)

Should be a good Super Bowl. I don't think the Seahawks will get off to as bad a start as they did in Green Bay and if they do the Patriots are unlikely to gag it away like the Packers.

Brady vs the Legion of Boom. I'm looking forward to it.

Just read on the internet...all Pats wins going back to 2003 will now have an * asterisk **** something similar to JOPA. Damn..it hurts to be NUMBER ONE!!

Whether the balls were deflated or not had absolutely no impact on the outcome of the game. The Colts simply don't have the players to compete with the Patriots.

You do have to wonder how many Super Bowls Montana would have won, no doubt in my mind the 49ner's would have made the 3 peat if he doesn't get injured in the NFC Championship game and that caused him to miss a lot of the next 2 years..then he was traded to the Chiefs. Golden Joe could have easily been 5-0 in Super Bowls.

Of course he's every where now on TV commercials these days...so I won't feel sorry for him...he's worth a lot of dough!

BINGO. I've successfully managed to not watch one minute of NFL playoff football since the Lions game and I'm getting some satisfaction out of not wasting my time on the fraud that is the NFL. If you can't be sure that the outcome was determined by a fairly officiated game or was predetermined to end the way it did, there's no reason to waste your time watching that crap.

Verdict: Guilty. Eleven balls under-inflated by 2 lbs. each. I said earlier that Colts fans are smart enough to understand that the amount of air in the balls had nothing to do with the outcome. The Patriots were/are the better team and didn't have to cheat to win the game, BUT the organization obviously has no integrity. Enjoy the Super Bowl, Pats, as you play under a cloud of shame.

Aaron Rogers says he'd like to see it so that there is a min level of inflation but no limit on how high they can be inflated. He likes his balls inflated to the max because he has a large hand and grip pressure. QB's with smaller hands and lighter grip pressure prefer underinflated balls.

He credits Peyton Manning with the NFL allowing the teams to prep the game balls or use balls from practice or previous games. Said nobody likes throwing brand new balls.

But as I said earlier, the Pats as an organization are a win at all costs group and don't mind cheating to win...sort of like a NASCAR team. If you aren't cheating you aren't trying.

I see that the Bears are supposedly interested in Charlie Weis as their OC. So now he'll be getting checks from ND, Kansas, and the Bears. You'd think he'd be able to afford a full time fitness/nutrition consultant with all the money rolling in...

Also I remember Jim Bob Cooter from his days as a Vol backup QB, his name alone made him semi-famous...but I see he's the Lions OCoord I had no idea he was still in football.
