The Ducks lose a RB as well.

The testing is random, but it's kinda not. Most times, people know when the NCAA tests are coming because anything NCAA related takes a while to mobilize/approve.

I think the Ducks were tested randomly some time after the Rose Bowl win. There's something in the NCAA rules about random testing without restriction for title competition. I'm wondering how long the weed rules will stand because, while technically illegal, they certainly aren't performance enhancing. They're treated the same as performance enhancing. In states in which weed is legal, I'm not sure how that stands up. The NCAA still doesn't really control the big 5. How long until someone lawyers up about their drug tests?

Not condoning it. I think both kids are dipshits. Just thinking out loud about the issue.

Penalizing Oregonians for smoking weed is like penalizing Hawaiians for surfing...

Odds have dropped to 5 1/2 points in favor of the Ducks! I love being the underdog!

Tonight is the big night. Should be a good one. Can the Ducks stop the OSU running game and can Bucks defense keep up with the Oregon fast paced offense. Good luck Don! :)

It took Urban going there ( once a Gator always a Gator ) but hey.... I'm on the Buckeye bandwagon now.

Actually I've always rooted for the underdog ( hated Bart Starr and the Packers ).... and the Buckeyes represent the underdog disrespected conference of the Big 10 and I'm ready for the change.

I'm ready for Meyer vs. Harbaugh.... Harbaugh wearing short sleeves al la Woody Hayes when it's 20 degrees.... etc etc.

I obviously do have a lot of respect for Meyer's coaching abilities and his teams are fun to watch.

Oregon? They play in what time zone? Doesn't Corey love the PAC 12 ( )......

    Go Bucs.... Beat the Ducks!

I like Marcus Mariota so I'm rooting for the Ducks, but I won't be surprised if the Buckeyes win, they are hot and they played a great game against a great opponent and their coach is experienced in these types of games.

Right now the 2 best coaches in college football are clearly Urban Meyer and Nick Saban. That will count for a lot in this game.

    Agreed....

But I may have to change my pick to the Ducks if Boondock picks the Buckeyes.

It's about winning..... not coming in second!! :D

Lots of money moving on the Ducks.

The line was bet down to 5 yesterday but now back to 6.5.

I don't know..... if you like Oregon at minus 5 you like them at minus 6.5.

7 would be the push line but if I were betting I would love OSU at plus 5, 6.5, 7 or just about any amount of points including 3.

Ohio State wins this game outright.

Line aside, the Ducks aren't getting a lot of respect if you are to listen to the talking heads on ESPN etc. I know Ohio State is big, fast and physical. A lot of this stuff I'm hearing is the usual stuff we hear before the Rose Bowl. They keep acting like Oregon has never seen a big, physical defense before. Even if you assume every defense in the Pac12 sucks, Oregon played (and beat) a Michigan State team that finished 3rd in scoring defense, 4th in total defense, and 1st in rushing defense.

Really, when you look at it, Michigan State's defense was only torched twice this year. Once by Oregon and the other time by Ohio State. This should be interesting.

In the ESPN/SN fan poll the Ducks have won every state in the Union except Ohio and have 66% of the overall vote.

oh I think there's a clear disconnect between the entertainment sports media and the fan base of the game. At the same time, guys like Lou Holtz aren't exactly new to the game either. :)
