If Clausen pulls this off, he'll be the guy for Bears fans for a decade. He's gonna get killed. I'm just saying.. if he does pull it off, look out.

Well it turns out that Clausen had a very good game, but was concussed in an illegal hit by a Detroit player...who surprisingly wasn't Suh. I saw the replay the guy should have been ejected, but to his credit Jimmy jumped up and challenged him...which might have been a clue that he wasn't 100% in the head! :)

Last night the Bengals took it to the Bronco's and Peyton Manning. With the home field now set for N.E. it's going to be a tough road for any team to go to Foxboro and win a playoff game. I hope somebody does, but NE is the clear favorite now.

I like that word "concussed". It has a medicinal, clean sound to it.

Back in the day we used more colorful terms. You got your bell rung. You got your clock cleaned. Your got the film knocked off your teeth. You got decleated. You got your dick knocked in the dirt.

Feel free to add your own euphemisms.

Back to Gator Bill's fantasy football. I got really lucky and caught two of the best teams in the league with tough matchup's and won the league.

Probably I should be so modest and say my defense held those to teams to two of their lowest scores of the year. :)

Timing can be everything. I was all but eliminated two weeks ago and a 1 year TD catch by Roddy White pulled out a miracle win for me and I squeezed into the playoffs then had two good weeks and won it all.

    Well back to the NFL.

Peyton Manning doesn't seem to be heading to the playoffs in a strong manner. Four int's last week would concern me if I was a Denver fan.

I don't think it's any secret that I don't like the Pat's and I don't like Tom Brady. Nothing personal and clearly Brady is one of the best QB's in his era, you can quibble that Peyton is better or Aaron Rodgers, but bottom line is that you can't have the conversation without Brady being in it.

I have to give Brady credit though for doing things that promote the team winning. He recently restructured his contract to free up money for the Pat's to sign free agents, sign their own players who have expiring contracts, etc. He didn't have to do it, and he's not the first player to do this, but it does show a commitment to winning. Now it doesn't hurt that he's made a lot of money in his career and is married to a woman who makes even more money annually than he does, still it says something about his commitment to the team.

    Kudo's to Tom Brady.

Texans will be facing a situation with Andre Johnson who has said he want's to spend his whole career with the Texans, but is likely to be asked to make some financial sacrificies himself...we'll see what he does.

I was listening to the game on the car radio and heard something I did not know. They said that Stafford's center in the 7th grade was Clayton Kershaw.

I'm afraid that today I came to the realization that the NFL is the same as pro wrestling. The outcome is predetermined. TV ratings are what drives the sport. Dallas at Green Bay is just "sexier"than the Lions-Packers rematch of last week. Picking up a penalty flag on a legitimate call is just wrong.

I cannot recall before today ever seeing a flag being picked up AFTER the penalty was announced.

The linebacker had his back to the ball and ran over the TE when the ball was in the air. How is that not PI?

Not only how was it not PI, when they picked it up why did they not explain why they picked it up...Ed Huculi would have!

Well after Manziel said he was growing up...he was partying big time in Miami for a birthday of some basketball star and then he was in Houston last night where he was at a bar and got into it ( doesn't sound like he started it) and they threw drinks at him and he had to leave.

Why do I think he might say he's changing and all but trouble is just going to find him no matter what he does.

Looks like another Ice Bowl for the Cowboys vs Packers. Damn it's tough for a dome team to go north and play outdoors in this bitter cold. Raven's are used to the outdoors and the cold so it won't be the weather in Foxboro that gives them trouble.
