Hey.... I thought Florida was just an afterthought to Bama fans..... sort of like a gnat on an elephant's ass.

Corey probably had to dig deep to find this gem.

Just to keep things interesting here's an analysis of what could happen in New Orleans:

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2301863-ohio-state-football-3-keys-to-upsetting-alabama-in-the-sugar-bowl

I think this article makes very valid arguments as to why the Buckeyes will not go down easy.

Urban Meyer when given time to prepare with an underdog team has proven to be a tough out.... as of course so has Saban the few times he was the dog.

In this case Bammer rides high and I think underestimates the rep from the Big 10. For many of the past several years that lack of respect was justified and played out on the big stage almost always but I think this Ohio State team has a different make-up with different coaching.

Should be a blast watching this one on New Years Day.

I haven't adjusted my confidence points yet. I think Alabama will win. The Sugar Bowl has not been kind to St Nick. Still, the Bucks are going with a QB3 and an OC halfway out the door. I think the weakness of Alabama's D is their CB play, but I don't think Ohio State can take advantage of that... so pretty high, yeah.

So... I would assume you think Bama might cover if your confidence factor is that high on the Tide.

Certainly as the double-digit favorite Bama could win and cover.

I am also certain the OSU crowd will show up in droves and not be intimidated by whatever contingent the Tide brings.

They will be loud and feeling good about their chances and I truly think they have the horses this time to stick with the Tide.

This Bama team has some great players.... no one is better than Cooper at WR.... but they also have some vulnerabilities that I believe Urban will seek to exploit.

Should be a real good one....

I might be wrong, but I'm pretty sure Alabama isn't a good team to bet on. I know a lot of pissed off Alabama fans who bet regularly. They can't be pissed off about the Tide winning or losing, I just assumed it was the spread.

I'm with you. I think Ohio State will show up. I think they'll have a chip on their shoulder. I think the Tide can be had, I just don't know that Ohio State can take advantage of that weakness. Then again, they could just come right out and slam the ball between the gaps all day. It almost worked for Arkansas.

Others can worry about the "spread" if they want to. I'll take a "W" and move on once again. I don't worry about the spread but I do worry about our DB's. Quick hitting slants and outs are our weakness. I have seen several teams use short passes to move down the field on us, only to stall in or near the red zone. Also our offense away from Bryant Denny has been pretty ordinary. "Spreads" are for bettors. All I want is a win.

I think the Tide can be beaten, any good team can be beaten! Question is can we execute and play like we did against Wisconsin?

Like Kp, I do not worry about the spread. I am going to make a bold prediction here and say that if we score on our opening drive, we will win the game!

Now you can lay your confidence points.
