Lots of rumors over on Gator message boards about WM's next destination. Auburn is a strong possibility with South Carolina and Texas A&M also in the mix. Wherever he goes that defense will be a pain in the ass to play.
Spurrier supposedly only wants to coach a few more years, maybe if Will goes there and does a good job he can learn from Spurrier and take over at So. Carolina. That wouldn't be an option at Auburn or Texas A&M.
For you Florida guys, an interesting article speculating where he could go: http://www.sbnation.com/college-foo...7/will-muschamp-auburn-florida-state-texas-am
Is there any doubt Will Muschamp will land softer than just about any fired head football coach ever? http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/24862542/reports-will-muschamp-weighing-offers-from-auburn-texas-am Offers of 1.5 million from Auburn and probably at least that from Tex A&M not to mention what the NFL most likely is dangling. That plus the money he is still going to get from Florida and no boo-hooing will be necessary in the Muschamp household.
So here's what I've been told about the Muschamp situation: Sumlin is working hard on Muschamp. We are playing from behind (to Auburn), but Sumlin had some pretty good arguments... When informed of his decision, we either get the hiring process completed quickly with him...or get to the next guy that we are also talking with. Unfortunately I do NOT know who "the next guy" is... Would love it to be Randy Shannon.
Just thankful both Auburn and Tex A&M are the SEC West if he goes to either place. With Malzahn's offense and Muschamp's defense I see Auburn being a huge problem.......
I googled Muschamp and came up with this: http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/index.ssf/2014/12/will_muschamp_one_of_the_best.html Man.... there is no question he just may wind up as the all-time highest paid coordinator wherever he winds up. ...and there's no buy out!!!
.....Auburn 1.8 million annually I am predicting Miles to Michigan. The SEC West just became even more brutal. Why wouldn't Miles just opt out of that torture while he still can and get a big raise to do it? ...and he's a Michigan man as Bo would say.
Re Miles: There's a rumor of a history and some bad blood. I'm not too sure Miles is the one holding a grudge. Then again, when you're the guy supposedly banging someone else's wife, how much of a grudge can you hold?
You had to wonder why Gary would have such a meltdown given his position and profile. Maybe you're on to something there......
Or this..... http://michigan.scout.com/forums/2019-stadium-and-main/13445199-les-miles-affair-or-lloyd-carr-affair-or-none-of-the-above Maybe it was paranoid Lloyd that did the dirty deed with McCartney's wife? Hell I thought all of these assistant coaches barely had time for an affair with their own wife much less having steamy affairs with other coach's wives.
I know Durkin talked to UNC. Hadn't heard of him talking to A&M, but he is the kind of guy Sumlin likes to look at...
