Ohio State fans are buying more tickets than Alabama fans at this point. We travel well. but this bowl game is going to be expensive. Stu Hub is listing average price of $430.00. Other sources are going for over $500.00. Non-stop flights from Columbus to New Orleans are going between $550.00 and $700.00 by two major airlines for return trips.
the best way to approach this is quietly. Once the word gets out that the Tide are being bested in anything, their fans will show up in legion. They'll be selling children and their commemorative paintings (in that order) to buy tickets for the game.
I remember when you guys came to Austin there were reportedly thousands of Buckeye fans who came without tickets hoping to buy onsite from scalpers.

This is a perfect storm for overpriced tickets. Bama not only travels well but is in close proximity to NOLA and it's well documented that Ohio State fans travel well. Some $500.00 tickets will probably get scalped at much higher prices.
$500 might seem steep for a ticket but I'd be embarrassed to reveal how much I paid for a seat to the 2012 NC game.
