Apparently Coach Boom is going to turn down the offer of close to 2 mil/year from A&M.
I say this because suddenly the rumors have exploded that they've got Bud Foster in the bag.
That really makes no sense to me. Bud has been at VT for so long... you figure he'd stick it out till Beamer finally steps out.
    But who knows.

Not a rumor - the Aggies have talked to Keenan McCardell who I believe is currently at Maryland to replace coach Beaty who took the Kansas "job".
KM was a 17 year pro WR, and is from Houston.
Seems like a good hire if it goes through.

Bud Foster? I don't think I'd be all that excited about Bud, it seems like Va.Tech has been in decline for a while now.

My bet on Boom is South Carolina as sort of a "coach in waiting".

Unless he feels like SC will never get it done no matter what.

Now lots of contradictory stuff... saying Foster was just getting a raise.
Different names are being thrown from all directions.
The Mizzou DC has been mentioned multiple times.

Almost all of them say Sumlin has his guy, just working the details and will announce later in the week.

    Guess we'll see.
