It seems all conferences have some holes in the quality of their refs. The Big XII just overall sucked. Apparently the SEC refs have a large blindspot when it comes to holding, especially against freshman DL. Here's a TWOFER on one play! (sorry can't embed it here) https://vine.co/v/OeVebuXPib1
What's truly sad is that was one of several just like that. They finally did call one that was so bad it injured Myles Garrett's ankle and he had to leave the game for about half the quarter.
Oh my, now that's not holding..that's mugging. But seriously, whether I'm on InsideTexas, NDNation, or any site that is the biggest complaint of the fans...our guys are getting held! Never, man our OL is getting away with holding big time, it's always our DL is getting held.
Holding is a tough, close, call. In our (Purdue's) waxing by Wisconsin the holding that my eyes (and apparently the rest of the Purdue Sports List) saw by Wisconsin's storied OL was incredible. But I watch how some of these great DL's just grab the OL and throw him out of the way...and wonder where is the fairness in the definitions of holding. How are you going to stop that monster #47 (Biegle) for Wiscy (watch out for him, AJ) unless you hold...just a leetle bit.
