thanks <t>I haven't heard anything from my mom or Terry so I am assuming that my Dad made it thru the game ok.<br/> <br/> You watching the UT-Bama game?</t>
I sure am Corey, it just ended and Tennessee wins 16-13. Terry has to be happy today, both his teams win in the last minute.
Gator Bill, I was afraid the Domers, Volunteers and Longhorns were going to let me down in the contest! Great comebacks in all three games. Don
Corey, JO'Co got through the game without any contraversy. He almost jumped in to help the UCLA fans pound on a guy wearing a USC hat but the stadium cops cuffed the guy and dragged him off to jail for indecent exposure. When I called Terry to tell him that Texas had gone ahead, he told me that a certain person had made sure to call him about them falling behind.
Hey I'm glad that they got tickets. It didn't seem like they were so confident on Fri. night. Once again, I enjoyed the festivities with the crew. Got to spend some time with my favorite Purdue fan Stu.
You would have had to be there to fully appreciate the whole scene. I watched at home again and TV just doesn't convey the magnitude of the fans reaction. I know all of us have been at games where our team won or lost in the last second or last play so you know what I mean. When Samardizja caught that pass the stadium erupted, the crowd then was incredibly loud for the final 27 seconds of the game. Virtually 100% of the crowd was still in the stands when Jeff made his catch. Nobody left when we seemingly were done after failing to get the 1st down and turning it back to UCLA with no timeouts. The entire crowd stayed in the stands cheering the team, nobody really started to leave until the band marched out after their post game concert. It was a true Notre Dame Moment folks!! You'd have to have been there to appreciate it.
Terry, I'm really glad the Skyboxers were there to see it. It makes the long trips and the $ spent worth every penny. I'm only sorry I could not be there with you.
Sid we really missed you..... The game was great best money we ever spent.... I could hardly watch the last 3 minutes lucky I was sitting behind this really huge guy .... It was intense to say the least .. We watched the tape last night before we went to bed it was a very long day and Jim wasnt feeling well..... You know next YEAR in early October THE IRISH COME HERE TO PLAY IN PASADENA??????? I know we all still want to come back there next year but for those who want I know we will be in Pasadena hopefully Rick and Kim will be with us.... See Terry I am not pushing to hard!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! D
WHAT A GREAT TIME!!!! The guy sitting next to me and his entourage of 12 should get their tix revoked for leaving early. Well maybe half, he is a 50th year ND class reunion member. The whole time was a blast except the good 'ol Econo Lodge. We had to keep a guy on watch when we went to bed...ha Seriously we did chase a red pick up and some guy who moved from spot to spot looking around til we sat and watched him outside. Ah good'ol room 232. I should have gotten a cell number from you guys, would have been nice to meet some of the wonderful folks on here. We tailgated off of Douglas Rd a nice side street with houses and big yards, with a short walk up the wooded path to the joyce center. I didn't want to intrude on your guys tailgate with myself being with 3 other guys. Morris Inn was our drinking hole for the weekend, did venture to the Linebacker Lounge, fun time cheap beer. Well everyone that went had a blast and hope the rest did as well. Hopefully next year we can all get together out to God's Country
ND/UCLA <r>Being at the game in person and being a ND fan, I will have to say that this will go down as one of my favorite all time ND games!! Hearing the crowd erupt and people all around you jumping, screaming a yelling at the top of their lungs....man it was an incredible moment when Quinn hit J.S. for the TD to win the game. I've never heard a crowd that loud before!!! One word...AWESOME!!! <E></E> <E></E> <E></E></r>
ND FAN .... you where in the room across the parking from us we where in 307 and Tim was in 323 (IthinK) You really missed a great party at the MBC with us ... and the tail gate just off the Joyce.. Sorry we missed you we would have loved to meet you and yes the econo lodge will not be seeing us again ...... ever
You guys the red??? mini van with CA plates across the way? You guys stayed out later than us young bucks the night before the game
We were very pleased with the situation staying out in Benton Harbor. The Marriott Courtyard was very nice, as expected and the room was 134$/night. Lots of fast food, Applebee's type places around plus it's not very far to St. Joe's where there are nice bars and restaurants and you don't have to wait an hour to get a seat. Travel time was about 30 minutes. I'm pretty sure we'll be going back. Terry
