Good win for your young Vols, Tom. Congrats. Miss State had a scare with Arkansas. Ole Miss/Auburn barn burner. I wonder what happened first, Treadwell breaking his leg or the fumble as he crossed the goal. It might be hard to hang on to the ball when your leg is breaking. I would not be surprised to see Ole Miss stay in the top 10. TCU IMHO really was given that game by the WVA coach. Texas gets back on the wining trail. Of course it helped that Tech was down to their walkon 5th string QB, who just happens to be the son of former Heisman Trophy Winnner and New York Jet...Vinny Testaverde. But he was pretty bad, not going to have the same career as dad.
Terry, Treadwell dropped the ball as a result of the injury. They may not show the replay of the injury anymore but I was watching the game and he was on the 1 yd line and his upper body was pulled back and his legs buckled and he dropped the ball on the way down obviously in pain.
Nice win for Tenn. Always looking over my shoulder at those guys because one day their time will come over UF and probably soon if we don't continue whatever in hell it was that got into the team yesterday in Jax.
You guys know that Spurrier walked away from the podium in his post-game press conference, right? I would imagine that Tom has been waiting for this for decades
 UCLA brought it's defense against Arizona. That's the first time that anyone has seen them all year... I would do more analysis of the 12Pac this year, but I don't understand anything that I see...
That's what I thought, and I don't want to watch that film anyway. I can't watch the Theisman film and I didn't watch the film of the Alabama WR a few years ago (before Saban) who made a great catch in the endzone and broke his leg horribly. I forget his name. I hate to see those things happen to these kids.
Terry, Tyrone Prothro was the Alabama players name and that one was worse than Treadwell. I'm not sure yet how badly Tredwell is hurt. Has anyone heard? I for one am in total support of anything that will shut Spurrier up. I guess he can deal, but he was not ready to accept. :?
I thought the break at Alabama this year was every bit as bad as the Prothro fracture. At least in terms of appearance.. the kid's feet were going east/west on a North/South body. There seems to be a lot of these horrific lower extremity breaks this year, more than I can remember in past years.. I wonder if it has to do with field turf? KP
That is what I have said for two decades. ... well, close anyway. Long ago, anything said would roll off Spurrier's back like rain on a duck. But the majority of the Florida fans would take up arms against anyone taking a jab at Spurrier or the Florida team. I love seeing the bully on the block taking one on the chin.
 re: Oregon They're getting their act together, but I'm still not convinced that they're the best. They may sneak into the playoffs and do some damage, but I'm just not convinced yet.
Well... I guess I'm not as squeamish as you guys. Treadwell's injury wasn't nearly as bad looking as some of the others we've seen in the last few years - mostly because his foot was covered by the kid making the tackle. It was worse than first reported. He broke his leg AND dislocated his ankle. A break usually heals up just fine, and is stronger than it was before. Dislocation of the ankle is VERY bad. That's what put the Aggie's best LB on the sidelines for the season. He dislocated his against SCAR and that one was pretty ugly. He was sitting on the field with one foot facing the wrong way... Anyway, the dislocation is what requires surgery to fix, and a long rehab that has no guarantee's he'll be as good as new. Hope for the best, but you never know.
