Now that Todd Gurley is gone, Tevin Coleman of Indiana clearly is the nation's top RB, but he's not considered a candidate for the Heisman. Anyone who watched IU upset Missouri saw his ability, but because he plays for a mediocre - at best - team, he won't be considered. http://www.indystar.com/story/sport...coleman-wont-win-the-heisman-trophy/17618843/
Sounds like a great player, but I've never heard of him before now. Playing for IU he'd probably have to have Barry Sanders like numbers to get the attention of the media.
Sid, Unfortunately, this is not an unusual situation. Probably not fair to the individual, but the truth none the less.
So true, Hey Huskerdude... I meant to post this for you a few days ago, but I'm getting around to it now. http://www.al.com/sports/index.ssf/2014/10/homewood_band_spells_fear_amee.html
