KP's question sent me on a task to seek answers. I posted a thing on my facebook page from Spencer.. here's the deal.

The difference between the 2 is that there was almost no evidence of Johnny Football, but a lot of smoke. With Gurley, there's a ton of evidence. There's no denying what he did.

Now, the reason there is a ton of evidence is that the merch broker who was getting Gurley to sign stuff for money got pissed off that Gurley was signing stuff for other people... so he began shopping his story to anyone/everyone that would listen.. the AJC, ESPN etc.

This dude is now denying it and running for his life. F*CK that guy. He's getting what he deserves. I hope some crazy ass, hobnail boot wearin' Appalachian raised Georgia fan catches him out in the flat and stomps the **** out of him.

Gurley is getting what he deserves. I wonder if Georgia will have to forfeit football games? I don't know why they wouldn't.

Watched a lot of football yesterday.

Ole Miss was extemely impressive at A&M last night. Their defense hit like a ton of bricks, even when the Aggie QB was able to complete a pass his receivers were nailed on the spot. They were all over A&M, and Bo Wallace I have to say I really like how this kid plays QB. He has a strong arm, and he's a strong runner, looks like a winner to me. They deserve to be where they are right now. It was so once sided I switched to the Arz/USC game which I didn't finish because it was late and truthfully neither team looked all that good to me. I see that USC won, but they look ok not great and Az looked a long way from the team that humped Oregon.

Mississippi State, I didn't really see that game since it conflicted with the ND game, but those guys must be for real. Everybody says they deserve to move ahead of FSU into #1. Maybe so, I'll bet their coach would just as soon they not move to #1, puts an even bigger target on their back and there is a lot of pressure that comes with being #1.

Alabama, wow they just didn't look good again. Sure they won and I have to admit again that I only saw a little of the game, but they are in trouble on offense. Simms doesn't look like the same QB who steamrolled the Gators a few weeks ago. The defense looks tough, but the offense looks frustrated. Still top 10, and 1 loss so they are in the hunt.

Texas/OU I got rained out at golf so I saw a lot more of this game than I expected. I think Charley has our defense playing very well and the offense is looking better, out QB (Swoopes) has a long way to go as does the whole offense, but they aren't totally incompetent and if they can continue to improve I think we can be a good team by the end of the year and a foundation will have been laid for the future. OU not impressed with them at all. That QB didn't look anywhere near the QB I saw in the Sugar Bowl last year. They are going to lose 1 or 2 more games this year.

Oregon/UCLA...the Ducks humped the Bruins. Welcome back Marcus Mariota, if they can get on a roll and run the table they can get into the final four and Marcus can win the Heisman.

Baylor/TCU...again only saw that last 2 minutes. I didn't understand that call on 4th and 3 from the Baylor 48 by Patterson. The fade? arrrrggggh. I thought though that the TCU was interferred with by the Baylor DB, the announcer kept saying you don't make that call on 4th down at that point in the game. Then after the exchange the refs made that exact same call, against TCU. It was the exact same interference, if they didn't call it earlier, they shouldn't have called it then. TCU was raped by the refs on that exchange. But apparently TCU just collapsed and had at one point late in the game was up by 21 points to Baylor and then the Bears ran off 24 pts to win at the buzzer. I guess they deserved to win. Defense anybody? I can't see Baylor going undefeated.

Notre Dame/UNC...I commented on this in another topic. We are what we are, a turnover prone team with a lot of offensive weapons who is going to have to score a lot of points. I hope we go undefeated and beat FSU but I am skeptical that with the current offensive problems protecting the ball that we can beat FSU. They will be 2 TD favorites, and rightfully so.

I think my top 5 would be.

    1. Miss State
    2. Ole Miss
    3. FSU
    4. Baylor
    5. Notre Dame.

Some fire on the UCLA sideline yesterday. I'm sure it's just the moment and things are fine now.

edit: watched a video of the event. Looks like Bruin DCoord got upset over something and over reacted with Mora, Mora tried to calm him down but the DCoord was just a little out of control at that point. No real big deal.

Terry, I didnt get to see the Alabama game this week so just going on what i've read and saw on the internet, we had 3 dropped punts and got beat in about every statistical category there is. I've been telling y'all our defense is weak and couldn't cover for our defense. It almost cost us again this week. Alabama could lose all of the rest of our games except one. No kidding!
