    Question for the group:

I do not want to add any specific conferences and can't make changes at this point in time for this year's contest. However, there is the ability to add the top 25 to the Yahoo picked teams for next year.

This is being brought up because we only have 18 games this week.

Do you approve of adding the top 25 to have more picks each week? This will not help the traditional week toward the end of the contest that has a very small pool from which to choose.

Poll will run for 30 days. Please feel free to add comments with replies.

On Inside Texas we are getting about 30 picks a week, I like it better. Of course we pick all B12 games, I assume all top 25 as well...but not sure.

Interesting, on the InsideTexas Yahoo Pick'em there is a note at that top that says the commissioner has chosen to include Yahoo top 25 and B12 conference games. OK but this week's Texas Tech/Oklahoma State game is not in our pick'em.. can you opt for only Sat games as well? No such explanation on the reason we have our games for the Skybox group...also only Sat games this week.

More macho I suppose to have 30 picks...

But I spend enough time making 20 picks...not sure I want to hassle with that many.

I am on the fence on this issue. That's why I started the post to get other opinions. More picks means that many more chances to bleed. However, one bad pick costs less when there are more picks.

We will let this poll go for another week and see what the result is. Looks to be very close right now.

I think we should talk Krebs into running a money game with point spreads...what could go wrong! :)

I am a bit confused. Just who is included in our weekly picks now?

I thought the top 25 was always eligible to be part of the games and did not quite understand how they are picked now.

The top 25 may be in our picks but not all of the top 25 that happen on Friday or Saturday. Our contest is set to Yahoo picked games only. You can add any conference or top 25 to get more picks. My other group that is a money contest that I play in is Yahoo selected games plus all SEC games. I have the pleasure of losing points on the Tennessee/UGA game in that contest but not in our group.

Aw hell...you wanna be picking all day...let's make it fair. We're all probably most familiar with our own conference.

Let's include all games in every conference represented by a Skybox Member...build it up! I got nothin' better to do with my Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Besides...if you just put in the Top 25 the Big 10 will pretty soon be left out.

Stu, Adding the top 25 does not change the games we have each week... only adds to the normal "Yahoo picks". Adding each conference that is represented here would give us weeks with the possibility of 50 picks.

This week there are 18 picks with 6 of them being top 25 games. There are actually 16 Saturday Top 25 games. That would add 10 games to our picks to make 28 picks this week.

I don't understand the comment, Tom. What has been said that gives you that impression?

I enjoy the contest and look forward to making my picks each week. I'll go with the majority vote, as I've done in the past, regardless of my opinion.

    I enjoy it.

I voted no...and explained why. Got a little sarcastic.

If I just coin flipped 'em then adding more wouldn't matter. I do spend a little bit of time looking at them.

I appreciate the time you spend analyzing the results and putting out ideas for change.

If there was no enjoyment you wouldn't have 29 folks signing up.

Pardon my misinterpretation. To me, it was sounding like it was such a chore to make 20 or less picks each week and adding 10 more was a hardship. To me, that sounded like it wasn't any fun anymore.

I am going through quite a bit in physical and mental changes right now. I am down 42 pounds since 1-July and now dropping at a rate of about 25 pounds per month since the 10th of September. I may be a little testy at times. My diet is a complete turn around from what I am used to and my system is giving me **** over it right now.

    Tom,

I think most of us get a little testy at times. You are excused!

Good luck with losing that weight, the rewards should be worth the inconvenience.

    Tom,
BBQ Brisket, white bread and Lone Star longnecks. If that don't put the weight back on, double the dosage and repeat!
