I may be wrong but I think Kansas State is going to have their hands full with this one. Auburn 3 and out on the first series but that is just the first series.

KState has blown some chances, but the old sorcerer has them in position to make this interesting.

Lots of bad throws and dropped passes in this game. K State has done a great job of taking the run away from Auburn. K State kicker having a rough night too. 8)

I guess Auburn could catch when the game was on the line.

20-14 Auburn. Those 3 missed FG's for KState were the difference.

This one was very surprising! K-State pretty much manhandled Auburn's line and should have won this game easily. Auburn escaped this time, but there are even more physical teams on their future schedule and they can't get pushed around like this again. They don't have the skill people to compensate...

Well there you have it - to stop Auburn's offense you just have to practice against it every day.

They.will still have offensive success against the rest of their sched but they surely won't get that many mistakes by their opponent, and their defense has holes.

If Auburn is the #5 team in the country, is K-state better than #20, even with the loss? Or is the opposite true? K-state is #20, and Auburn is not #5? Was the close game a fluke for Auburn on the road or for K-state at home? I guess it all will play out as the season goes on. It was a fun game to watch.

I don't know if Auburn is #5 or not.

I will say this was a great match-up for KSU.
These two teams are basically built the same way, to do the same things so it shouldn't be a surprise it was a struggle.
Auburn probably has more speed across the board, but KSU has much more discipline.

Assuming Auburn's ridiculous streak of luck doesn't continue... (3 shanked FGs?!) they will probably lose a game or two.

I expect KSU will have difficultly with fast spread passing teams like OU and Baylor...

If there is anybody who does more with less talent...based on HS recruiting rankings than Bill Snyder I don't know who that might be. Granted he's the king of the JUCO's and I don't know if KSU has high academics or anything.

But that was one of the worst NCAA coaching jobs when he took it and turned it around, then when he retired the guy they hired was working them back to being the old Kansas State when Bill had seen enough and came out fo retirement to put them back where he had them when he retired the first time.

He's the anti-Mack Brown. Mack had nothing but high 4star and 5star players...Bill has never had that.

Hmmmm...Bill Synder said Auburn had their signals...same accusation that Jimbo Fisher made after the NC game. Gus said it isn't true, he swears on Toomers Oaks. :)

If Kansas State has a decent field goal kicker they win the game.
