Long way to go and as in years past we've seen early front runners fall by the way side and guys you never heard of before the season come to the front. Case in point before the 2012 season, nobody and I mean nobody had heard of Johnny Football outside the state of Texas. Yet in the end he wins. Every year it's pretty much the same so when you look at this current odds sheet from Sportsbook in Vegas you know it's not going to look the same in Dec. One thing though, it's been a while since Mark Ingram won as a RB so I wouldn't be surprised if Todd Gurley of Georgia wins this year, of course he has to stay injury free and he has to continue to do the amazing things he's done so far. Georgia doesn't have to go undefeaed for him to win, but like everybody else it really hurts to have a bad game or to miss games due to injury.
I imagine there will be other players do well enough to make the list and a few of these guys may drop off. As far as running backs, more and more teams are going to making use of multiple running backs. That cuts their production. But it makes them last longer with fewer injuries.
Bryce Petty shouldn't be on that list. Baylor's sched is so horribly weak... They should divide his stats by 2 before even considering him.
I'm watching Taysom right now vs Houston. So far not a Heisman like...he's wild high with a lot of his passes. But you can bet that as the season goes on if BYU continues to win and he can put up good stats his name will begin to creep into the voters minds.
Well Winston is not listed in this weeks Heisman Watch on ESPN. Marcus Mariota, followed by Todd Gurley and Amari Cooper are the top 3. http://espn.go.com/college-football/heisman14/
