I just read an article on ESPN that said the swing that Harmon designed for Tiger was the basis for Tiger's knee problem. Brandon Chamblee says Sean Foley's swing is a back killer. I have no knee problems and no back problems that can be put on my golf swing, I'm thinking Tiger needs to copy my swing.

Did you ever see old clips of Trevino and the 1-2 1-2 step he'd make before he hit the ball?

Keegan Bradley, Hunter Mahan, and Webb Simpson...Captains picks. Don't blame him for leaving Kirk off inspite of playing great this past weekend.

I like Bradley because he's so annoying to watch play he'll throw the Euro's off their game. Maybe he'll have Furyk on his bag to line up his putts.

Mahan is a deserving pick and so is Webb Simpson.

I still think we're going to get stomped. It'll be over by day 2.

We usually go into the Cup thinking we have the better deeper team. All the pressure is on us because everyone thinks we should win. Not this time. Let's see how the Euros handle the favorite role while our poor underdogs have nothing to lose.
Played Gleneagles 13 yrs ago. All I remember is nasty rough and bad weather.

My nephew Matt and his HS golf buddy who played golf at IU qualified for the 1st USGA 4 Ball event, it'll be next May at the Olympic Club in San Francisco.

This replaces the old Publix for Men and Women. The Women's 4 ball will be at Brandon Dunes.

I have a question that I've had for many years but have never asked. If it's the lower score of two players, why do they call it "four" ball? It may be another "Duh!" moment for me, but I'm curious.

Yeah it's an odd name. It's really a "better" Ball format. 2 teams, each player plays his own ball so there are "4 balls" being played but the score for the team is the better ball.

Playing with Bradley must be like torture. Grass grows in between his shots.

Thanks, Terry. I see the rationale although I agree it's "odd" term.

Yeah that's why I commented what pair Furyk and Bradley would be to play against...their opponents would commit hari-kari by the 7th hole.

Teeing it up in Denver today, now that Bradley, Simpson and Mahan are Ryder Cup Captains picks I hope we see some really good play from those guys.

So Phil bails on the BMW because he's so far out of it he has no chance. Says he wants to focus on the Ryder Cup prep....we're doomed.

Worst Caddy ever...Take the freakn' flag out pal, it's a 2 stroke penalty if I hit with my putt...plus the marshall has us on the clock. No tip for this guy. :)

Ryder Cup week boys....are you ready for a beating?

In other news, Davis Love III made his Champions Tour debut, I saw the golf channel coverage of his T-Shot on the 1st hole, which he hit in the water and took bogey. But he finished T-64th...maybe it won't be a walk in the park for him after all! :)

Rory has a new driver. The Nike Vapor. If there ever was somebody who didn't need a few extra yards with his driver it's Rory. But hey it's shiny and new!! :)

Speaking of new clubs...Calloway is going to be introducing a new Big Bertha set of irons, designed so that a 6 iron goes as far as a 4iron in their X2 Hot series of irons. I need those!! :)

Completely surprised that the USA is up after the opening matches this morning.

I was cursing Phil when he missed a putt on 15 that he should have made, but he had a brilliant bunker shot on 18 and thankfully didn't miss the short putt for the win. I was really hoping that Keegan would make his putt so we wouldn't have to depend on Phil to make his putt.

Also I doubted Jimmy Walker but he made a big putt on 18 as well to get a half.

I hope that Phil's legs hold up in this afternoons alt shot competition.

How about Jordan Speith and Patrick Reed taking down Ian Poulter. Johnny Miller thinks they should have gone out in the afternoon matches instead of Phil.

Freakin' Euros...put'em in a Ryder Cup and they start making bombs from all over the green. Americans grind over 4 footers. Phil should have stayed in the locker room. Fowler/Walker...how do you cough up a 2 up lead with 2 to go.
