I would say if UF wins the games they should going out and then beats Auburn or Arkansas that the Gators will finish no worse than #3 before the bowls and that coupled with an SEC Championship would be fantastic. When the top 4 SEC teams all win their bowls against top notch competition it will be easy to see why the SEC has no one that will make the BCS title game.
There is a big chance that if the Irish win out or even if they don't that they will be the first at large team chosen and the Sugar Bowl has the 1st choice. Could be the Fla/ND game. That'd be fun!
hmmm <t>i do believe that on two occassions in the BCS, we've had a team that didn't win their division or play in their own conference title game wind up in the NC game. If a few shoes drop in the right spots, I am betting that happens again.<br/> <br/> You are spouting off quite a bit early about SEC bowl success. If Arkansas beats Tennessee and LSU, IMHO, they will have shown themselves to be the best team in the SEC in the regular season. Would you not agree with that? Considering that the Hogs get both of those teams at home, and they only need a split to take the division, I'd say its likely. BTW-why isn't anyone clamouring for the Hogs to be higher? They kicked the p and v out of Auburn right down on the Plains. Don't talk to me about Florida, Georgia, Tennessee or Auburn until you're ready to place the Hogs down at the same table. Unlike those other boys you keep talking about, the Hogs have done it on the field against conference foes to date.</t>
ps <t>your top 4 teams last year went 2 and 2. Georgia lost to West Virginia and Auburn lost to Wisconsin. I think you guys went 3-3 overall. Someone (LSU?) kicked the piss outta Miami but then I believe that SCAR lost to someone like Missouri.</t>
I think that BCS standing is only preliminary as most of the computer polls are not out until tomorrow so the Gators will drop.
why <t>does Arkansas have to go so far and prove so much to prove their worth of this BCS polls MCG? They pounded Auburn on the Plains. You're still concerned with the family tree of the officiating crew.</t>
Im suprised how good the BSC was to my Gators. It might be false hope....but by no means are we out if it yet. Run the table and hope for USC to lose and you are right back in it. 2 bad West Virginia's plays the likes of Connecticut and Syracuse every week
