When I can't say that Florida is "conspicuously" missing from this list you know just how bad they sucked last season. I hold out hope that it was the spate of injuries to so many key people that put the Gators in a such a deep hole and that better health and change in offensive coaching will right the ship. It would be nice if SI was on to something here: http://www.si.com/college-football/2014/08/04/college-football-playoff-sleepers-florida-iowa
The SEC has 7 teams in this list's Top 25. I'd say things don't look so good for Will's future employment prospects at UF. And oh yeah..... the number 1 team is that pesky little non-con team down I-10 from Gainesville..... FSU.
Raplh! where you been buddy? Haven't read much about the Hurricanes other than Jake Heap is going to be your new QB.
I'm here but mainly lurking in the shadows, I'm not the biggest fan of preseason polls (see Auburn 2103). As far as the Canes it seems QB is a toss up with Jake Heap leading the pack due to injuries and the fact that Kevin Olsen is a stoner and keeps failing drug test. True freshman Brad Kaaya is pushing hard but he's a true freshman. After the embarrassment in last years bowl game against Louisville, two starting linebackers arrested a month ago for raping a 17 year girl old they got drunk and brought back to the dorm it's better to hang low and see what happens. I feel we have better talent this season but our schedule has us facing 10 bowl teams from last season so the realist in me is taking over that this could be an average season at best.... It will be interesting to watch Golden coach without external issues clouding the periphery. He can recruit but can he coach as well....?
