We're going to get smoked. When you look at the World Golf Rankings the top players in the world are Euro's. Not to mention that for some strange reason Tom Watson seems to be determined not to be the Capt who leaves Tiger Woods off the team.

I mean he said to day it would be up to Tiger.
Even if Tiger says he's healthy, how can you deny that he is not playing well and that he would be selected solely on his past accomplishments. I'd be ok with that if we had a team of super stars who we expected to win handily. But we are in just the opposite situation.

I was glad to see Phil play well and I hope that it carries over to the Cup, Rickie Fowler has been solid all year. But the rest of the guys are suspect. Sure Bubba won at Augusta and he's immensely talented but he only seems to harness that talent periodically. Jim Furyk, I promise you he'll gack up several matches. Jimmy Walker? In the famous words of A.J. Martin...Nevah Hoid of da Bum.

If I were any of the players who will be passed over for Tiger, I'd be pissed.

Walker won twice this year.....Sony Open and The AT&T Pebble Beach.....finished 8th in the PGA Yesterday.....he's got a game......

    Bubba's a competitor.....Phil.....Rickie, etc......

    We'll be fine.......

I think what Watson's saying is that Tiger needs to show him something real quick if he wants to be on the team...Personally, I don't think Watson likes him.

It would be a terrible mistake to put Tiger on the Ryder Cup Team!

Is Jimmy any relation to Johnnie? I've heard of Johnnie. Johnnie and I used to be really good pals.

I can't imagine what argument Tiger could make in his own defense to lobby for a spot on the team at this point in time. He is about a 3H golfer who may walk off at any moment.

I think he means 3 holes Sid....that if it's nopt going good in the first 3 holes, he'll just walk off the course and go home.

    Hmmm....should I accept AJ's explanation or Terry's?

Recent history shows that AJ has a point, but I'm going with Terry.

Actually, it's a great big DUH! I'm an occasional golfer, and I should have known what George was saying, but the language of single-digit handicaps is foreign to me.

Woods would probably make a good asst. capt. He should be at the matches even if he's not playing.

I would agree, if Tiger means what he says then he should make the trip and support the troops.

AJ...stay by your phone. Tiger has fired Sean Foley and is going to need a new swing coach!! :)

Serously I wonder why anybody like Tiger even needs a swing coach, Tiger has a lot of knowledge about the golf swing, he no doubt has all the high tech video gear probably has several Konica/Minolta Slow mo swing duhickey's we see every week on the golf telecasts.

Also Ryder Cup....watching Jim Furyk collapse (again) with a lead on Sunday makes me cringe that he's on our Ryder Cup team. I predict he won't win a single match, has developed into a player who doesn't finish. Still a very good player, just can't finish.
