Every year we have a family camping trip and then what the wife and I refer to as Grandkids week, but what the grandkids refer to as cousins week at our house. This well might have been the last grad kids week as they are all grown up. Two are either married or working full time, two will be going into their 2nd year at the University of Florida and one entering Appalachian State as a freshmen next year. Of the last three two are seniors in High School and one a Junior. They leave today and tomorrow and I expect to be around more after that. Anyway here's a picture of guess who zip lining Friday.
It was fun. Hey we have a cabin beside our house and if some Skyboxers wanted to come see Western North Carolina get in touch with me. The cabin is in use for a number of weeks each year but a little planning ahead we should be able to work it out.
That is an all Orange Gator shirt Tom and if you notice the cap under the helmet that is also a Gator hat. The hat does have Orange and Blue. Nice to hear from you.
There were 8 zips in the course. You do one at at time from platform to platform and then are on the platform until time for you to go again. This picture was in the middle of one of the zips and we knew the photographer was there so we could pose. I got lucky when she snapped me.
Ah Tom I forgot about this picture. It's me, two of my daughters and the young lady on my left is my granddaughter who is a sophomore at Florida. Anyway notice the orange shirt and the Gator emblem on the upper left. The cap does have blue in it. It was a great day.
Gator Bill...what do you know about High Point U? Is it near you? I have a guy going into Freshman year there in 3 weeks. jif
JIF, here's a link to information about High Point University. It is a Methodist University near Greensboro NC. Hi Point University
Beautiful looking college, never heard of it but there are a lot of small colleges in America that do great jobs of educating young people. I remember looking up Applachian State after they beat Michigan and figured I'd see some dilapidated old campus that looked more like an oversized HS than a college...nope a beautiful campus and school.
A neighbor kid went there about ten years ago on a baseball scholarship. I'm told its a nice campus. Kind of popular out this way.
yes..they visited already 2 or 3 times, and liked it. Its only 1 hour from Charlotte Int Airport which is good.
