Texas fans eagerly await the Aggies return to historic medicority!! :) Then we'll talk about playing them.

Seriously though, there are a lot of Texas fans who were really upset with the Aggies leaving for the SEC and said screw'em we don't need them and we'll hurt them by not playing them anymore. But there are also a lot of fans like me who hope that sometime in the future we get back to playing them. But it's looking pretty bleak right now. They have moved on and will be playing some SEC team on Thanksgiving weekend, forget if it's Ark or LSU.

Also lots of Texas fans are rooting for Sumlin to leave for the NFL and are waiting for the Aggies to return to their historic mediocrity or worse in the SEC. That's what everybody figured that by moving to the SEC they guaranteed that they'd never see .500 football again. Of course Sumlin/JFF changed all that and now they are hot in recruting in the state, they are killing us with the top players. Many Texas fans think that Sumlin without JFF is going to crash and burn this year and things will get back to normal. We'll see.

SEC media days are awesome. It's one of the best things about living in the epicenter of Dixie. If you have ESPNU, you can watch it right now. It goes on all day.

An example, Gary Pinkel (Missouri HC) just called Nick Saban a liar.

Now.. he didn't really. When the subject of slowing down the game due to safety concerns over the spread offense, he made a great point in so much that he's been coaching at a very high level for a long time and never once has a medical professional come to him and say 'boy, I sure am worried about the health of our team due to the spread offense.' He then went on to say that he thought the point of view that claims there is a health risk due to the no huddle spread is 'fiction.'

But.. the best thing about SEC media days is how these writers will take something one guy said and extrapolate it into something entirely different. (for example, no one whines more about the no huddle spread than Saban... ).

You can just watch the moments unfold and when words leave the lips, you can see it in their eyes 'Oh ****, that'll be in the paper...'

As for SOS, he can be a dipshit, but man is he entertaining.

SOS is always good for the reporters! He's a treasure for them.

BTW while anointing Saban as the greatest recruiter ever, the So. Carolina class is ranked #2 right behind Alabama. Now how many of those guys will actually qualify to play in college, that's another story. :)

Maybe that's what he meant: "Greatest recruiter... of players who will actually set foot on campus!".

    :)

So the logic behind Spurrier's statement is that if you recruit like **** then you are ok not winning anything, if you are very good at recruiting then 2 NC's are not enough? :?
