I remember watching this the Alabama - LSU game and thinking both teams had a lot of future NFL talent on the field but I never realized until reading this article just how talent rich both teams were:

Yes..... but that BCS thing was a tool designed and managed by the SEC to give the SEC every chance at winning the national championship annually as highlighted by this fluke a national title game.... right?

    Terry, Bobda,
Those were 2 very good defenses. That's the kind of football I enjoy. 52 to 48 scores should be restricted to basketball. 8)

I enjoyed that game a lot, but I also enjoy the high scoring games also.

In fact my most enjoyable period of time in football were the fun and gun years of Steve Spurrier at Florida.

I like games where there is some great defense but also some great offense. 9-6 game is not my kind of game. 38-28 that's likely to have been a great game.

I've seen exciting games on both ends of the scoring spectrum. I actually enjoy watching a great defensive effort. If both teams have great defenses, I enjoy watching the battle. I don't care if my team wins 40-37 or 6-3. Just win, baby! :)

I don't mind it so much if someone other than Alabama is involved, but when someone scores 40 points on Alabama, then we probably lost and we will probably lose again. I'm a big believer in defense wins championships. :)

I prefer my team to score 40+ while we hold the other guy to 3!
(hasn't happened in a long while, but I'm hopeful all these young guys will learn to play defense like the Wrecking Crew used to...)

    :D

Scott, I would love that too, but that combination of explosive offense and stifling defense doesn't seem to happen too often.

I agree with Sid and Scott.

That 9-6 game was really interesting and had me on the edge of my seat in front of the TV.

I enjoy a game like that once in awhile, however I wouldn't want to watch similar games week in and week out.

One of my favorite games of all time is the Gator win over FSU 52-20 for our first NC.
