O.K., maybe I am jumping the gun but it sure looks like the game in Columbus will be between the two top teams in the nation.

I agree. Not bad for an overrated conference.

That's the way I see it. Neither of you has a game left that you should even be challenged. Michigan Defense looked very tough tonight. I'll give credit to PSU to holding your offense down to 17 points, I thought if they could hold you under 20 they had a shot, but when Morelli went down that was too much to overcome even though they did score their only TD with the backup.

UM Front 7 is probably the best in college football right now.

If Michigan is ranked #2, it will set up the very first ever #1 vs #2 matchup involving Ohio State and Michigan. I was surprised to learn this, because I know that they've played when both were undefeated, but apparently never as #1 vs #2...

    Bobda,

If we both keep winning, and I think we will, it should be quite a game.

I still believe that Iowa will be a tough game, and especially dangerous with that embarrassment with IU. Losses to OSU and IU, Iowa should be playing with a chip on its shoulder and trying to save some face, what better way than to knock off Michigan in the Big House.

Once Michigan gets by Iowa...then it will be cruise control to OSU!

I think I've read that Iowa is very banged up right now and Drew Tate just isn't the QB I thought he would be after his freshman year. Maybe he's never really recovered from his injury. But if they even stay close to you guys I will be surprised.

    BT,

I think my one trip to Columbus in 04 was enough for a lifetime although I am curious what this year's F**K MICHIGAN t-shirt will look like. I thought the scarlet t-shirt with a map of Ohio on the front and that message printed in the center of the state was the best one from an objective, artistic standpoint.

At the Ohio State/Texas game. A couple of rows in front were some Ohio State fans who were shall we say obstreperously cheering for their team. At the end of the game, they stood up and yelled some Ohio State cheer and finished it with Michigan Sucks. :)

    Bobda,

I probably shouldn't share this with you, but you should know what you are up against! They've gone beyond guard dogs.

    Bobda,

Now that the Iowa game is out of the way for the Wolverines, it certainly looks like a show down in Columbus on the 18th of November!

You definitely miss Mannigham, but the defense is playing solid.

Should be a great game between two magnificent football programs.

It sure looks like smooth sailing for both teams till the 18th. Our offense is sputtering without Manningham but he is supposed to be back pretty soon.

Tate had a tough time against us on Saturday and was rattled by the pressure and hits. In the 3rd quarter, Iowa had the ball deep in M territory and had a chance to tie the game when he missed an open receiver ( actually 2) by rushing his throw. After the game, he talked about M's defense:

And Iowa has played OSU. Interesting. It certainly will be a tough, competitive game.

Sid, nobody that I know has touted our defense as the best...they have been praised for being as good as they are, given the loss of starters from last year. We have given up lots of yards, but are highly ranked in points given up and in takeovers.

Michigan, on the other hand, has given up a whopping 36 yards of rushing per game.

    Not to be taken lightly!

    Stu,

You'll get no argument from me that OSU is the top team in the country at this time. I just thought the Iowa QB's description of MI's defense provides a firsthand comparison of the #1 and # 2 teams from someone who has seen them both. My succinct point was that you don't often see that kind of comparison because you don't often see the top two teams being from the same conference.

By the way, sorry I missed you last weekend. Sounds like you all had a great time.

OSU-Mich shapes up to be an epic battle....maybe the real NC game for that matter.

One vs. two in a heated rivalry game for great stakes. Not since UF-FSU in 1996 has this kind of game occurred in CFB.

I have to say it early....Go Blue!!!

I have to like Tressel in the coaching game vs Carr, esp in Columbus. But it might be the game of the year. Winner to BCS Championship game, loser to the Rose Bowl....so really nobody loses much in the end.
