They played the Yankees tough. They don't look like a 100 loss team to me. If you want to see what a completely hapless team looks like, I offer the New York Mets as Exhibit A.
I hope we're headed in the right direction, we supposedly have a lot of young talent in the high minors just chillin till there are fresh and ready. It certainly is nice when the team is competive. Those summers when we had Jeff Kent, Roger, Andy, Biggio, Berkman, Brad Lidge, etc and battle the Cardinals down to the wire every year it seemed were much nicer than the last few futile summers.
Those were the years when you supported your home town team.......before you became a carpetbagger.
Now in my defense as a newly minted fan of the 11 time World Champion Cardinals, it did come with perks!
are you serious T... I thought you were kidding...I can see a fan in Utah or north Dakota switching teams...but your Home Town???
I've always been a NL fan guys, it's where my interest has always been. This move to the American league brings in teams I've never cared a flip about. So I do still root for the Astros, but I still follow the NL more closely and the Cardinals are my new NL team.
Well played, Doc. Seriously, I understand your dilemma. If the same thing happened to my home town team, I would have to find a NL team to root for while still maintaining my loyalty to the local boys.
AJ, I was born in Grosse Point Farms, a suburb of Detroit City...but I got to Texas as soon as I could!
Not to feel sorry for the JIFFER! Being weighted down by my 3 RINGS! Will figure out how to handle a 4th in due time :!: :!:
