Who could have predicted that Putin would invade the Ukraine? And who was mocked by the liberal media for that prediction?

President Pantywaiste strikes again. You didn't have to be Nostradamus to figure that a pussy like him would get pushed around by a secret policeman like Putin...

We don't have the money to be the world cop anymore. Let someone else save the Ukraine.

With that said, Putin wipes his feet on Obama's sorry ass and always will.

When Obama gets done cutting our Armed Forces to pre-1940 levels and only four aircraft carriers (his current plan) we won't be able to defend ourselves against the Bahamas...

Obama Loses The WaPo, Lib Paper Says His “Foreign Policy Is Based On Fantasy”…

Apparently they are just figuring this out now.

President Obama’s foreign policy is based on fantasy — Washington Post

FOR FIVE YEARS, President Obama has led a foreign policy based more on how he thinks the world should operate than on reality. It was a world in which “the tide of war is receding” and the United States could, without much risk, radically reduce the size of its armed forces. Other leaders, in this vision, would behave rationally and in the interest of their people and the world. Invasions, brute force, great-power games and shifting alliances — these were things of the past. Secretary of State John F. Kerry displayed this mindset on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday when he said, of Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine, “It’s a 19th century act in the 21st century.”

That’s a nice thought, and we all know what he means. A country’s standing is no longer measured in throw-weight or battalions. The world is too interconnected to break into blocs. A small country that plugs into cyberspace can deliver more prosperity to its people (think Singapore or Estonia) than a giant with natural resources and standing armies.

Unfortunately, Russian President Vladimir Putin has not received the memo on 21st-century behavior. Neither has China’s president, Xi Jinping, who is engaging in gunboat diplomacy against Japan and the weaker nations of Southeast Asia. Syrian president Bashar al-Assad is waging a very 20th-century war against his own people, sending helicopters to drop exploding barrels full of screws, nails and other shrapnel onto apartment buildings where families cower in basements. These men will not be deterred by the disapproval of their peers, the weight of world opinion or even disinvestment by Silicon Valley companies. They are concerned primarily with maintaining their holds on power.

And therein lies the heart of the fallacy. Here's the thing about a technology dependent society. All technology runs on a power source. Some of technology requires a power source and a communication line.

These are things that can be cut, and can be cut quite easily.

Anytime the guy with the natural resources and the battalions wants to severe that line, it can happen. What retards the Chinese, North Korean and Arab regulation efforts of information exchange is that the world thinks they are full of ****, keeps the portals open and even helps the people in those societies discover ways around their governments efforts.

That seems great. A global system of checks and balances. Kumbaya.

Now, what do you do with the guy who has battalions and natural resources rolls into his neighboring countries and decides to shut off their power sources?

Well, that global system just got a little bit smaller.

And if he does it again, and again and again....it creates panic.

Panic begets more panic. Other countries turn to stronger leaders and systems, giving away freedoms (Yes, as Sinclair Lewis suggested long ago.. It can happen here) in turn for alleged safety.. and then one day, their leader(s) decide to shut down their power sources and communications as well.

Not to get all Churchill-ian on you, but the Domino Theory is a real thing that will play out until someone stops it.

There is a time for peace, and a time for force. There must always be a balance between the 2. Too much of either is a bad thing. We've lost sight of that.

RT Anchor Quits On Air Over Putin “Whitewashing” Events In Ukraine

    <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/55izx6rbCqg?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0"></iframe>

    Mutiny!

This is second RT person who spoke out against RT and Putin. After this, RT probably isn’t going to let any program go out live any more…

    Via NY Post

A Russia Today anchor quit live on air Wednesday, declaring she cannot work for a station that “whitewashes the actions of Vladimir Putin.”

Liz Wahl, who works in the network’s Washington DC bureau, said her grandparents came to the United States to escape Soviet oppression.

“And that is why personally I cannot be part of a station funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the action of Putin,” she said, reading from a statement.

“I’m proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth. And that is why after this newscast I’m resigning.”

Earlier, Ms. Wahl had tweeted: “Just spoke to grandparents who came to US as refugees escaping Soviets during Hungarian revolution. Amazing to hear amid new Cold War fears.”
