Brady to Houston for the rights to Manziel, very interesting. Reunite him with Bill O'Brien. A lot of people say that we are just a QB away from being back in contention for the AFC championship, Foster should be 100% next year, Andre Johnson and some nice young WR's, a couple of good TE's. Brady has got to be getting towards the end of his career, so you have to wonder how many really good years he has left.

I can't see it happening though, Patriot fans would not be very happy and it's not a situation like the Colts were facing where they didn't know for sure what the outcome of Mannings surgery would be and they had the opportunity to get that true franchise QB in Luck, and a kid like that doesn't come along very often.

But really I think I'd like to see the Texans take Johnny Football and see what happens.

Kes, my wife and I took a trip back there in '96, the first time I had been there since being a baby a hundred years ago. It's a beautiful place. We toured the city, spent a few hours on Puget Sound in an old friend's cabin sailboat, walked through the campus of UDub, spent a couple of days on Victoria Island, and even ended up in Vancouver from where we flew home. Seattle is an amazing city. We even had sun the entire time we were there. Fortunately, we did not encounter any political issues. I'm sure you are correct about the leanings, which mirror their neighbors to the south.

T..They just don't know about Johnny..it would be a gamble. Yes Brady has 2-3 years and could put Houston over the top...on the other hand if Mr football is real..they would get 15 years out of him....mabe

Well no doubt the success that Russel Wilson has had in his 2 years in the NFL has helped Manziel a lot. Manziel is probably taller than Wilson, he has a strong arm, and is very elusive maybe more so than Wilson. He also has very big hands which some say is the reason he is not fumble prone.

The question surround Johnny Football is will he be Joe Namath and just wing it on talent and charisma or will he put in the hard work and study that the greats like Montana, Elway, Y.A. Tittle, Johnny Unitas, Bart Starr, Bob Griese, Manning, Brady, Aaron Rodgers, etc all have done to reach the top of their position.

JFF hasn't won any championships.... not even a division championship in the SEC.

He's fun to watch..... maybe he can impress at the combines..... and most especially at the practice field in June....

But is he a championship QB? Can he get it done a la Tom Brady when the game is on the figgin line?

    Who really knows......

What is it with these people who talk about QBs as if they are the only people on the field? Peyton Manning didn't win any championships in college. Neither did Andrew Luck or Russell Wilson. In college, teams who win championships do so as a TEAM. The QB is 1/22 of the team. Granted, he has a huge role, but he doesn't do it by himself.

Once again, defense wins championships. You run the spread, pro style, hurry up no huddle, triple option whatever. It doesn't matter if your defense is not better than the other team's defense. 8)

Sid call it the "it" factor.

Eli Manning has it..... Tom Brady has it.

AJ McCarron has it..... Jameis Winston has it..

It's performing at your highest level when the game is on the line and making winning plays for the highest of stakes.

Some are better than others at doing so.

I can go along with the "it" factor. Makes sense in all those cases. I guess my point was that a QB is not a lesser QB just because his TEAM doesn't win championships.
