    1. Ohio State got the miracle it needed...a bad Al Borges play call on the last play of the game! Great game though, as boda said the good Devin Gardner showed up for this game. I have to wonder if those Ohio State players will be out for the B1G championship game, the guy who threw the punch I would think would be out by rule, I'm sure the B1G commish is going to try hard to give the tOSU players the benefit of the doubt. We'll see.

    2. Missouri got the miracle it needed when some imposter showed up at QB for the Aggies instead of the real JFF. :)

    3. USC got the Miracle it needed when UCLA hammered them sort of ending the Eddie O crusade for coach. I hear that Chris Petersen will be the next USC coach. After reading my history of Boise State Football again today I'm pretty sure that will be a good move for USC.

    4. So.Carolina didn't get the miracle it needed to get into the SEC Championship game. But they also prevented Clemson from getting the miracle they needed to get into a BCS bowl. If you are a Gamecock fan that's not a bad 2nd prize, the part about screwing Clemson out of their miracle! :)

    5. Mack Brown is unlikely to get the miracle he needs to be the coach of next years Longhorns, but he ended any chance that Kliff Kingsbury who by the way looks way cooler than Mack, would have a miracle finish to his season and roll into a bowl game. Instead Kliff will limp into a bowl game.

    6. The Rice Owls got the miracle they needed to get to the CUSA championship game when UNT lost and they beat a Tulane team lead by Joe Montana's son Nick Montana. Rice will play Marshall and if by some miracle they are ranked higher than Marshall the CUSA Championship game will be right here in Houston, I expect a crowd of hundreds, maybe thousands! :)

    7. Bo Pellini didn't get the miracle he needed to save his job, turns out that no matter how boorish and profane he is after a loss his AD has his back and will be proud to have him back next year. So he really didn't need that miracle in Lincoln to happen. Lose to Iowa for the first time since 1920 pffts..no big deal. :)

    8. Kevin Sumlin didn't need no miracles, he had a heavy new contract in his back pocket and he probably didn't even think about leaving A&M, but they weren't sure so pay the man! His miracle man won't be back next year most likely even though his draft stock is plummeting as I type. I have heard that he is injured, bad hand, and that was a huge problem. I have to say he was chatting up all the Missouri players after the game, probably telling them to win one for the old B12!

    9. Eddie O didn't get his miracle, he got hammered instead by cross town rival UCLA. Lose badly to UCLA, lose to an injury depleted Notre Dame team that was playing with on QB tied behind it's back in the 2nd half and well you need a miracle if you want to be the next coach at USC.

    10. I'm sure you guys all know the story of Miracle on 34th Street, well if Auburn season gets made into a movie it will be Miracles on 34th, 45th and 72nd street. Depending on how the SEC championship game turns out there could be a sequel. But seriously I love the offense that Auburn ran this year it was run over, under and around you and occassionally throw it over the top of you. Coach Gus got more than his share of miracles this year, I'm sure karma will balance that out somewhere down the line.

    11. Nick Saban wasn't supposed to need any miracles, he had this years version of the Army of Darkness. Cool and efficient assassins the Tide were this year. Heck even though it was all there for him and for AJ McCarron, AJ who sort of needed a miracle at the beginning of the season to work his way into the Heisman trophy as the best game manager in college football even got a 99 yd TD pass to win the game...well it should have won the game if it was a true miracle. Instead the Grinch snuck in and stole Christmas for the Tide fans. It was sort of a miracle for Gus that Nick Saban the usually unflappable and prescient decision maker for the Tide eschewed the short FG..that in retrospect would have ended the Auburn miracle. But alas we are stuck with the Miracle of Jordan Hare and the Miracl of Jordan Hare part deux. I'm pretty sure if he had a Marcel Darieus on the team that Auburn QB wouldn't have been around for the miracle TD pass to tie the game! :) Oh well welcome to Austin Nick...we love you already and our kicker would never go 0-3! :)

    12. Irish didn't get the miracle they needed either, the Stanford OL and Tyler Gaffney showed up anyway. Hello NYC and Rutgers or some other AAC team for a snowy end to the season!

    13. 1 more week ...it would take a miracle for Duke to beat FSU, not so much of a miracle for MSU to beat tOSU. If tOSU loses, Auburn runs out of miracles, do we get back to the FSU vs Alabama BCS Championship game? That would be a true miracle.

I find it interesting Auburn seems to be lobbying for themselves under the guise of the SEC banner, but not Missouri. I wouldn't be surprised if Missouri beat them. The Missouri front 4 is nothing to sneeze at. Injured hand or not, they were all over Johnny Football. In fact, I thought only the Pinkel Pucker kept that game tight. They have those huge, fast WRs and a strong RB. If he turns them loose, it'll be interesting.

Auburn is a huge candidate for an upset against Missouri. How can they possibly not have a let down?

Don, Auburn is not going to pass you guys if you beat Michigan State.

If you lose to Michigan State the winner of Auburn - Missouri should take your place, although if Missouri should win I could see Alabama edging them out in the BCS standings.

Bill you are probably right that if tOSU loses it's going to be a 1 loss SEC team in the NC game, I just think it would be very odd that the 1 loss team that is the SEC Champion would not be that team no matter if it is Missouri.

    Bill & Terry,

Every thing I am reading this morning seems to reflect your comments,

Our destiny is clearly in our hands, lose to MSU and we our out of the championship picture, unless other tope teams would lose also.

That would be complete chaos for the BCS Title game.

Don I don't think you guys have to destroy MSU either, just win. Auburn or Missouri could destroy the other and they shouldn't pass you IMHO. You can be sure that if you guys just sneak past MSU and the SEC Champ destroys it's opponent in the SEC Champ game there will be a lot of weeping and gnashing of they played a tougher schedule and all that, but undefeated major conference champion trumps all of that.

Both FSU and OSU control their destiny for the BCS Title game.

FSU's path seems clear but I think MSU is quite a hurdle for the Buckeyes.

According to Chip Brown of Orangebloods.com Mack Brown is telling recruits he'll be back in 2014 and will sit down soon with the new AD to get to know him better.

I guess Saban really screwed up more than his chance at the NC game with his decisions in the Auburn game! :)

Well Steve Sarkisian is the new USC coach, Haden thanked Eddie O for his work and hopes he will have a role with USC going forward.

I wonder who takes the Washington job now, Sarkisian has them in a much better place than when he took over for the destroyer of programs.

I hear Keith Gilbertson, Rick Neuheisel, and Ty Willingham are all looking for work. Bob Davie, Paul Wulff and Lane Kiffin might be available but I'd have to check.

Somebody on another board who claims to know "people" at UW said that if he had lost to Wazzu that he'd have been fired.

I had read some speculation about that. There were a lot of purple dogs not happy with the prospect of yet another seven win season.

Terry, there you go, there is your out. Saban really wanted to go to Texas but they were turned off by his loss to Auburn. Now if only McCoy hadn't got hurt!!!!!

I hope you guys let Marcel Darieus keep that trophy in his den, he's the reason it's not in Austin!! I'm serious in a way, I know injuries are a part of the game and all that, but I don't think you guys beat Texas if Colt McCoy isn't injured on that play.

Now that Sark is out of Seattle and UDub, I wonder if the Huskies will open up the wallet and bring Jim Mora Jr home?

I know you don't Terry, I know you don't

Hey Terry didn't the Oklahoma qb (Bradford right?) get hurt in the Oklahoma-Texas game that year? And if I remember correctly y'all won by one or two points. I guess they are probably saying the same thing, but like you said "injuries are a part of the game and all that" :?
