yeah, I am just waiting to bleed out here. We were outcoached and outplayed. We couldn't stop their offense and we should have been able to. Oh well it had to end sometime, I just hate that it had to end against Auburn. It will be a lonnnnggg year.
kp, Tough one to lose, but especially with such a freakish ending. The Crimson Tide still had a great season.
I honestly think this is what most people who watched the game start to finish were thinking: http://www.sbnation.com/college-foo.../iron-bowl-results-auburn-vs-alabama-reaction
Hang in there, KP. Alabama had a great 3 year run and set a standard of excellence on the field that was admirable.
   I think coach Saban said it best, "I've never lost a game that way and I've never seen anyone lose a game that way." I'm not sure this has ever happened before. Nobody even practices against kick returns on field goal attempts...let alone the possibility of a 109 yard return. The field goal team is filled with slugs who can't run. Their job is to prevent blocked kicks......period. If college football is played another 144 years we may never see this again. Wowza!
Just got back from Panama City Beach, and so just to elaborate on my quick response from last night, we were beaten and outcoached. Our defense looked confused all night. I don't know why but Mosley went the wrong way so many times I thought I was watching the game in a mirror. I don't know what Saban was thinking when he went for it on 4th down when we were on their 12 yard line. A field goal and a 10 pt lead late in the 4th would have eliminated a lot of the drama. Oh well I knew it had to end, it just really sucks for me that it had to end against Auburn.
He was probably thinking about the missed opportunities earlier in the game. Why go with a kicker that is obviously off his normal game?
Tom, That is just un-Saban like. He expects every player to do his job on every play. There is no past, there is no future, just the next play. That is the "process". I was just surprised.
It should be mentioned guys (because the people sending him death threats seem to miss this fact).. The kid who missed the last kick was not the kicker who missed the previous FG attempts. The whole game was very un-Saban like. The kid missed the 1st one. Another kick got blocked. Another kick was actually good but got taken off the board because one of the OL jumped. He missed the re-kick. That also doesn't cover all the missed passes, or passes behind the WR by AJ. Missed tackles and bad reads by the Bama LBs.
