What irks me about the coming beatdown the most is something I fortunately will not be there to witness... the Seminole war chant being vocalized by 40,000 rabid Seminole fans and drowning out the Gator band and then that insipid na-na-na na hey-hey... good bye refrain as the few brave Gator fans who went to the game begin to exit in droves late in the 3rd quarter. That's an effing ugly scene I wouldn't want to endure.
Coach O could be the type of perfect place holder coach to nab until you get the guy you really want. He's 'all in' on the Trojan legacy and he's a recruiting machine. A lot of what O did at Ole Miss just doesn't play in the SEC. USC, like Notre Dame, is a very 'us vs the world' type of place. They are quite different than their P12 brothers. Even in Los Angeles, they are a weird combination of 'big money' and 'inner city.' UCLA is always more reflective of the blend in Southern California. USC is just USC. Coach O just might be okay there. I could see him being at least as good as a John Robinson, to be honest. That's lofty, but I could see it. I still don't see him as a Petey2, and certainly not a John McKay.
For any Irish fans who would contemplate a trip to the Pinstripe Bowl should the Irish find themselves there... When leaving Yankeee Stadium turn north and drive up the Major Deegan toward the lights of the George Washington Bridge. Leave the Bronx, cross the river heading west toward civilization. Any lack of bright lights accompanied by screams, broken glass, gunshots or other ominous sound effects would indicate an incorrect turn and a pending tour of the south Bronx and Harlem. Keep driving south at a high speed ignoring local traffic signals until you see Central Park. Then resume normal speed and breathing patterns.
hmmm Terry Saban seems to be saying that Nick isn't appreciated in Tuscaloosa....he'll be loved and appreciated in Austin! Terry Saban on the job maybe kp needs to send them a Christmas Card saying how much he loves and appreciates them!!
I gotta friend who lives there in the new building at the site of the former WTC. I'm pretty sure she'd move heaven and earth for us to come up there if ND plays in NYC.
