    Case and point Bill, thanks.

BTW, using your circular logic, Texas A&M would have been 2 plays better than Georgia and maybe even up to 5 ergo they would have beaten ND as would have Florida who beat Texas A&M but as we know Florida lost to Louisville so maybe UConn is the real title team last year aside from the Tide?!?

This isn't an 'ND thing' nor is it even a "Pac12 thing" it's a clear macro view of the world of college football at the FBS level. If you take this model out to anyone and show it to them, they'd tell you it's ********.

The bowls were silly and didn't make sense, but it was tradition and that's fine. What we've done since then is nothing better than a rouse (and that's being generous) designed to benefit the super conferences first while pretending to pay special considerations to the traditions of the game.

That's fine, until everyone junked their tradition to go the super conference route because they could CLEARLY SEE THIS SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED TO BENEFIT SUPER CONFERENCES FIRST. Only now do we see that this isn't even designed to benefit super conferences, it was only designed to benefit certain super conferences.

Hell, no one was reaping benefits of the doubt like the Big12 until they fell apart. Predictably, you are defensive about the SEC. I really do mean it when I say it's not an attack on them. They are doing what is in their best interest. It's everyone else who is failing.

The empirical evidence is not there to support this statement.

Check out my BCS bowl record topic.

First let me say i look forward to the playoffs (although they too will be based primarily on polls), but I don't think we would be hearing this talk of the system being designed to benefit one conference if any other conference could win the NC. If the last 7 NC's had been spread among PAC12, Big10, Notre Dame, Big 12 and SEC, everyone would still bitch about something but it wouldn't be that the SEC stacked the deck. But when the night of the NC game comes, it is one team against another team. On the field. And that's all. :)

Corey, I think you just helped my point. I said Georgia because they lost the SEC Championship game to Alabama, I didn't add Texas A& M because they weren't in that game. However Texas A & M may well have won also.

No one is ignoring the other Bowl games but you sure seem quick to dismiss the 7 straight the SEC has won.

No matter, I love the SEC and see them producing teams that are competitive for some time to come. This year is a bit of a down year with Bama having a pretty clear run at the SEC title.

Actually, I did Dave and you should check my post on the subject. While the SEC's dominance of the championship game cannot be denied. You're one game over .500 (very Big East like) in the rest of your BCS bowl games.

Again, case and point... plant that flag on one game.
