This might be an interesting game in a couple of respects.

We are favored by 17 points, no surprise there, it will be televised by ABC as a regional game. Game is in Columbus.

I was shocked to learn the Hawkeyes have not allowed a single rushing TD this season!

Buckeyes are averaging 281 yds per game rushing. Something or someone is going to have to give for this contest.

I took you guys to cover the point spread in my Yahoo contest where we use point spreads instead of confidence points.

I don't really know how good Iowa is, Frentz is supposedly a good coach but the Hawks haven't been very good recently. They are 4-2, losing to Mich State that is not nearly as polished on offense as you guys are with either QB. So that's why I'm figuring the Bucks to put a big number on them and cover.

Hope these current rain showers will have passed through by game time.

    Wet footballs are dangerous. :D

Iowa pretty much had their way with Ohio State in the first half, pushing us around at will and led 17-10 at the halfway mark.

Buckeyes regrouped in the second half scoring on four possessions and no punts. Braxton Miller was 22-27 with no interceptions. Carlos Hyde was the work horse again securing necessary yardage to keep possession and eat time off the clock.

Iowa always seems to b a tough foe for Ohio State.

This might rattle cages on here but I agree with what I have seen said on ESPN this morning..... FSU looks like a better team than OSU and has played their way into a shot at Bama over Ohio State.

If I had to rank them right now it would be:

    1. Alabama

    2. Oregon

    3. FSU

    4. Ohio State

    5. Baylor

I'm a Buckeye fan but I don't see them in the top three. Defense is a question mark.

No argument here on my part Dave. FSU and their freshman QB look great!

Based on Clemson's ranking before the game, a case could be made for FSU to move up to #1. However, there are games to be played, which will show whether or not Clemson deserved to be ranked that high to begin with. I agree with George's top 5 in the same order.

I am just hoping we can win out and play in the Rose Bowl. No way will we win a spot in the BCS Game. :(

Hey last year ND and Alabama were on the outside looking in when all of a sudden Stanford beat Oregon and K St. lost to Baylor. There's hope especially when you have a favorable schedule.

    Gipper,

That's the problem, our schedule is too favorable. Of course anything is possible, but I am being a realist here. There would have to be some major, major upsets!

Buckeye T and I are on the same page in our recent conversations.

I think our chances aren't all that bad.

If everybody stays unbeaten, I've got no beef. I wouldn't jump us over an undefeated FSU or even Missou at this point. Certainly not Bama or Oregon.

We've had this discussion in years past. I say that if we stay unbeaten (not a given) we should not be jumped by a one loss team.

I saw a video of the Ohio State Band half time show at the Iowa game...Tribute to Michael Jackson.... It was awesome.
