We had a victory on the 3rd Saturday last week but it wasn't against the likes of the Tide. Heaven help our team this week 'cause Saban is going to go full Satan on us. Time to keep betting the farm against my team!
Big game week. You can tell. It's all over the office. Oddly, I work with a lot of Vandy grads so it's pretty up-tempo at work.
Corey, the key phrase in your post above is, "....I work with....". Congratulations on being employed. I hope it works out well for you.
Sid, Thanks! So far, so good. We have a Georgia grad in the office. No one has seen that dude in the hallways or meetings all week. This is one of the few places I've ever been that doesn't have a lot of Vol fans, but the few that are here are catching a lot of heat from the Tide alumni and fans in the office. The Vandy guys are still on cloud 9.
I guess nobody does remember 10 - 12. That was the score in 2009 when we were heavy under dogs against the #1 ranked Alabama team. It took a blocked field goal attempt in the final seconds for Bama to escape with the victory. Let's just see how this one pans out.
OK Tom I'm taking the Vols and the 28.5 points in my Yahoo Pickem contest with point spreads on your recommendation!
Tennessee is getting better as the season goes on. Saban has no interest in the betting line nor in what the margin of victory is, as long as it is a victory so bet for Alabama not to cover. I think we win, but 28 is a big margin against a good opponent.
I remember it well. This is one of those 'throw out the record' games for me. These guys just don't like each other a whole lot.
refer to the previous cartoon. That first score was too quick. Could be a long afternoon. Headed out for the annual Jarrell Volunteer Fire Dept 4 wheeler raffle about the time that this game ends.
The young Tennessee qb looks pretty good! Alabama had another good quick start. A couple of fumbles but a pretty good showing by the Alabama team all around.
