Unbelievable...... the Vols should have scored that TD. Snakebit..... Great effort..... but no moral victories.
Everybody loves it when the player lays out and gets it just inside the pylon or just over the goaline.....but that's also when they fumble the most.
Terry, I listened to most of the game on SiriusXM and saw the last 8 minutes on my cell phone until regulation ended. I was in the truck listening in on Sirius during overtime. The Vols made a great showing today after displaying very little offense in other large games. I think they can build on this effort and surprise a team or two. Go Vols! I also hear an annoying buzzing in this topic... anyone else hear that?
 Wow. This was one of the better games that I've ever seen, and it was the best effort by the Vols in years. I still can't believe that they lost. Their turn-around could very well begin right now. That looked like real Tennessee football to me.
Tom, Things are looking better for the Volunteers, even in defeat! Congratulation on a great come back in the second half.
Got it Gip... Football is a game of inched and he let go of the ball about 6 inches before he reached the goal line. Oh what could have been.
Funny. Georgia has a 'hangover' but LSU has....???? (the answer is incredible talent and a bad defense). If UT can play at that level every week, they'll turn the corner this year. While Dave is hijacking a great game and great UT moment to once again 'Gator' it AND try to prove his idiotic point (while the rest of the conference is proving you wrong), I really liked what I saw of the Vols. You looked better coached than Georgia. You're just missing about 5 guys right now... you can fix that in a class. Exciting times for Tennessee, despite the heartbreak.. and with your real rival looming ahead, there's hope.
Windmills Corey... Windmills. Incapable of intelligent thought. Logical reasoning impossible as well.
Depends on how the kids view them. Brought enough enthusiasm to hang with Georgia or Don't want memories of the disappointing loss. Back to packing up the office.
First of all I gave the Vols a ton of credit.....and I was cheering for em. They did well..... but if you don't think Georgia was a little tattered and torn from their encounter with LSU and played like it I guess that's your opinion. I think Tenn is better than MissST and would beat them by two Tds at least but MSU had LSU at 28-26 in the 3rd quarter before LSU awoke from their "hangover" and put in on them in the 2nd half. TN-Ga was one helluva game.... very exciting and I acknowledged that whole heartedly. And... don't look now but Akron just lost to Ohio by 41-7......
Georgia was not hung over. They were playing an inspired team on the road, missing almost ALL of their legitimate offensive weapons due to injury. When it came to crunch time - the one guy they had left pulled them through with clutch plays. Tom and Cindy should be proud. Their team played hard the whole way, and were as he said - 6 inches from a signature win.
Tennessee does not need your back handed compliments Dave nor do they desire you to cheer for them. Bill yes. Wendy, yes, Every Gator fan on this board but you, yes. Braggarts are not allowed on the Tennessee rebuilding trail.
Tennessee is dangerous. They need to finish regrouping from the last couple of years to put it all together consistently. They played a heck of a game yesterday. I don't know what the absolute level of play is in the SEC this year, but I know that relatively speaking, there are not many easy weeks. :?
Thanks KP. With this young team that has been lacking a motivational coach for so long, I never know what to expect. By the looks of what happened yesterday, the effort is back. The play to the final whistle is back.
Nothing was meant as backhanded.... you're reading tea leaves again.... .... but screw it..... forget I said anything nice.
