We look to be on track for a 17-October move. Much larger back yard with open area at the end of the driveway for an additional 4 car detached garage to go along with the 2 car attached garage. Here is the satellite and front view of the house followed by my idea of what it will look like with a slight driveway modification and the 4 car (double deep 2 car) garage
How beautiful looks like you have more room for toys than I do. are you putting in a mini race track ....
Well, JO'Co and Diane will be moving first but we have all ducks in a row to close on 17-Oct and move the same day. Just want to advertise to the masses and I will do this on Facebook as well: If you are ever in need of an alarm monitoring agency, do not even consider CSG Security. I have been with them since 2008 when we moved into this house and they have the audacity to charge me an early termination fee equal to 9 months service. Do not use these extortionists.
was there a batting cage in the back yard at one time? I love big yards. Doesn't anyone build bunkers anymore?
No bating cage. The mark you see is the grass growing greener over the leach field. Does not affect our building plans but we may, in the distant future, choose to move it closer to being parallel to and close to the back fence. We have packed up everything that is not needed between now and Thursday morning. My office is down to minimum equipment to run until 5pm on Wednesday. I have about an hour of tear down to do at that time. The blue prints for the garage, both the HOA accepted and the variance needed versions will be ready on Monday for our review. Plans are to start construction a little over a month after the move. That's when our contractor's schedule and our schedule match. We are so ready.
2pm central today, the electronics go into hibernation at the McCord house. That is when the office comes crashing down and internet is no longer available. Final walk through for the Hutto house is at 17:30 then back to the Round Rock house to finish up the demolition of the office. No stopping until the only thing left is tearing down the bed in the master bedroom and emptying the refrigerators and freezers into coolers. Tomorrow morning, reveille is at 05:00 to do what is left before the movers arrive at 08:00. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/SGnZxcS7VKA" frameborder="0"></iframe>
Relying on the ole faithful Sprint Overdrive 4G hotspot for internet during rest breaks. No home phone... no broadband. The walk through went well. We are ready to close and get this party started. Two wonderful friends we have made through our car clubs are playing house sitters to direct the movers while we are at closing. Movers here at 08:30 and closing at 10:00. Is it over yet :?: :?: :?:
We are now out of the cell phone only internet iron curtain. Internet is up and running wired and wireless. DirecTV is due here in the next 3 hours. DirecTV has it easy. I have given them permission to enter the attic and find every drop in the house that is not connected to my Time Warner internet drop and use them for DirecTV. Kings Pest control is due in the next hour to fight a midieval battle with the dinosaur sized fire ant mounds in the back yard. We have had 11 inches of rain in the past week and it has driven all of them buggers to the surface. We did not have that problem at the old address. Kings did annual treatments to rid us of those vermin. Next on the agenda... knocking out the 98 small and medium sized u-haul moving boxes and put things away.
Sounds like loads of fun. I have to say that you are ultra organized to have your internet and cable up so soon, and on a weekend no less. Nice going.
Uh..... Sid.... today is Friday. Either that or I am extremely late for a Saturday appointment in Bandera Texas.
Internet was actually up on Thursday. We now have DirecTV up and operational. Next up, besides the 80+ remaining boxes, finding my work laptop, router, and VoIP phone to be ready for work Monday morning. Sometime this weekend I want to install the internet controlled thermostat as well.
