We are off this morning to sign final escrow papers on new house in Apple Valley this afternoon spending day with Jim at school. should have keys by Tuesday or Wednesday , Not looking forward to packing the last 33 years of our lives here into boxes but excited at the same time will have a lot more time w. Jim school is 17 minutes from new house. An designing a backyard 3/4of an acre of desert... covered patio and pool and green area for Dudley are first in line... And no room for war toys no tanks no rocket launchers. This new house will also allow us to.. Do some South Bend times with good friends.

Good luck, Di and Jim. I'll be interested in hearing how the move goes. When we moved from our home of 35 years in Ft. Wayne, I was floored by how much we ended up donating or throwing away. I'm sure that while packing you'll have to make some tough decisions, but in the end, it all will be worthwhile because of the wonderful life that lies ahead in Apple Valley.

   you two will drive me to drink... We are hiring a contractor to do it all. Patio Pool Gazebo . and guess who will be there the whole time Yep ME I can do the grass thing and the back of the yard Fruit trees and vegetable gardens . already designed an Australian system w/ 2 large water barrels in corners of yard to collect water and tubes to water thru a drip system. Yes I did it by myself the advantage of having an engineer for a father who was an DIY person from the start. I can plant a lawn and put in flowers and grasses myself along w. laying the rock and planting the plants and tall grasses. I am very lucky to have grandfathers who taught me to love green plants et all. and a dad who believed in doing it all by yourself...... (but Jim wont let me use a backhoe. since all the power lines and everything are underground)

:D not sure yet I haven't seen the house I trusted it all to Jim. I know I have 4 bedrooms and 3 baths a giant kitchen opens to the living room and a dinning room and 3/4 of an acre for a backyard. but you know my door is always open to my Skybox (ND) family and a house that is over 1100 square feet bigger than the one I have got now. Cant wait to get the keys new appliances and furniture Yep I am not taking anything(well a few things) with me its a good thing I will have 20 boxes of books by the time we load the truck on the 12th (its a 3 day weekend for Jim) have fun in Dallas.
