David Ash out for the Longhorns, that means rag armed Case McCoy will be the QB...I hope our OL and the RB's are ready to carry the load.

Loss on Nat'l TV tonight vs Iowa State would be very embarrassing!!

Yeah who knew that rag arm could throw the ball that far.

Well solid drive to go ahead 24-20, very stupid penalty on Mike Davis. Not only did he hit the ISU kid in the endzone after the Texas back scored but he went low on his knees. Should have been ejected IMHO.

I predict 38-20 as the final score, Texas wins.

hit a wrong button and deleted my own post. Idiot!

Terry replied to my post stating that the "Rag arm" wasn't doing too bad.

Dang, fumble..and ISU back runs through Texas defense. Maybe I was a little premature with that score prediction.

ISU legs look more fresh than Texas with a 3 point lead and the ball with 6 minutes left.

Very ragged victory though. If not for pass interference calls and failure to over turn that fumble in the last minute we'd have lost.

But a win is a win, loss to Iowa State would have been very embarassing. They've been beaten by N. Iowa this season.

um Paul Rhodes is not happy with the B12 Officals. I'm sure he's going to pay for this rant.

For what it's worth here's the late hit on the ISU reciever after the Texas back has scored up the middle on the goal line..play was no where near Mike Davis and the play was also over, you can see by the way the ISU kid was looking down the line to where the play was and the Texas kid cheap shots. Him.

He should be suspended for that play, went right at the ISU kids knees

For what it's worth, Rhodes can bite the big one. This was a well officiated game (from an observer with no dog in the fight).

I did think he got screwed on the fumble in the last minute or we could say the Longhorns got lucky.

Can't call it "getting screwed" when the video evidence was not there. Just didn't have a clear shot in that pile to reverse the call on the field.

The only call I questioned from replay is the official not stating that the call on the field was CONFIRMED but stated the call on the field STANDS on the QB sneak to put Texas ahead at the end. That was obvious by video replay and the replay booth did not CONFIRM it.

I did think there was enough video evidence from the replays they showed that the call on the field should have been overturned. I think the easier path for the replay officals though is to fall back on the "indisputable video evidence" clause rather than make a gutsy call that ended the game.

Yeah Iowa State got hosed and somewhere out there Aggies are saying 'Thank God we moved.'

If that was ND, we'd never hear the end of it. ESPN has too much invested in the LHN and their golden child of the Southwest. They keep referring to it as '50-50' at best.. I laughed that even May and Holtz seemed to put schtick aside to agree that it was an awful call. The kid from Iowa State was headed 5 yards down field with the ball in his possession when the whistle blew.

I'm not saying there's any validity to the 'homer official' rumor in the Big12. What I am saying is that the SEC is filled with some of college football's palatial venues and shithole snakepits, all of which are quite hostile to visiting competition yet Texas A&M took that head on longingly like a hug from a long gone grandmother.

Corey... you are in the ballpark... but still don't know.

    Terry,

I'm glad you guys are standing up about the dirty hit.
That was complete BS, and if I was Davis I'd be a little worried that something special might be coming my way from a team later that wants it known that BS won't be allowed to go unpunished...
