Blair Kiel's son attends HS close to Indy. Sounds like the nephew also is doing quite well.

Good article, I wonder if either Drew Kiel or Brandon Kiel have shots at ending up at Notre Dame. I don't think the Irish have ever had a legacy football player who was a standout. At least not that I can think of, brothers yes, but father/son or other 2nd generation relative.

We have a couple of familiar names here in Houston who are making their mark at QB in the footsteps of famous relatives.

One is David Carr's younger brother, he's a sophmore and is starting to light things up. The other is more obscure if you weren't an Oilers fan, Oliver Lucks son is maybe the best QB in the state this year, as a Jr, will be highly recruited next year. Oliver Luck was a WVa Mountaineer QB. He played for the Oilers and has been the commisioiner of NFL Europe, Head of the Harris County Sports Authority, a lawyer, currently owns the Houston Dynamo Soccer team.

My son has seen Blair Kiel's son play. In his opinion, the kid has an impressive arm and has college potential, but he needs to put on some weight to get good looks from the bigger schools. Time will tell.

I still remember Kiel's fake punt for a touchdown in Arizona Stadium.
