Well moving on, we need to get this ship righted ASAP.

Sun Devils are a good football team, maybe not quite as good as they looked against USC on offense, but good. I can't imagine allowing them 62 points, but also can't see us scoring 40+ points on them either like USC.

They will have special uniforms for this game, as will the Irish.

The Sun Devils helmet looks like someone stuck his head too close to the fire..

Ok, I think of myself as someone who thinks outside the box and not stuck in tradition but I have to say that with every step made on the new uni's we are one step away from watching our sports highlights on the Entertainment tonight show...It's getting to be all about the "bling" first and talent and sportsmanship somewhere down the list...??

    Damn Oregon!
They kept on bringing out one horrendous uni design after another.
Finally... after so much bombardment, the kids have begun to like that crap!

Now they are just throwing crap on the wall, and if we don't all immediately vomit, they assume it's ok and time to go for something more ridiculous.

ugh... they can score. Their defense isn't that great but they cause turnovers and put pressure on the ball. Hopefully we are able to establish the perimeter and pound the ball a bit. Running right at them can be tough because they are fairly physical right up the guy. I think they may be light in the ass on the perimeter as they sacrifice size for speed on the rush usually..

We need to play a good game and control the clock. We can beat this team. We have already lost to 2 teams we could beat. I have no idea or feeling for this game at all.

I forget the name of the ASU NG but he's as good as Nix, maybe better.

Our defense better be ready because I don't think we can get into a scoring contest with those guys. As they say though the best defense is to keep their offense on the bench with long drives that eat clock. I know Kelly loves "big chunk" plays but if Atkinson has had a light bulb go off and can grind out yardage plus occasionally rip one off and we can get Folston going as well then maybe we can grind out some long drives. It's time.

While you can reasonably say alll games are important, and it's hard to pinpoint which ones are the most important. Before the season most ND fans would have pointed to Mich, OU, USC, and Stanford as the games this year. I hoped we could go 3-1, would have felt good about 2-2. But now this ASU game is really the most important game.

It's imperative that Kelly stop the bleeding and beat ASU. I think back to when Utah came to South Bend and we hadn't been playing well, just lost to Tulsa on a brain fart by Kelly eschewing the certain win with the very makeable FG for the fade to the endzone that was picked off. Team and Fans were pretty down at that point.

Sort of like now when we immediately get down 14-0 to OU and then fight back to where we are ready to even up the game instead another INT and we're down 21-7 instead of tied 14-14.

ASU comes in riding high just like Utah did and we're lower than Whale poop right now. Kelly detractors are very vocal right now. He needs a win, the team needs a win, the fans need a win. And not just any win, not a by the chin of your chinny chin chin win, but a solid win where we run the ball and throw the ball and get after the other teams QB. A win that we walk off the field saying no doubt the best team won.

Not to mention there will be a lot of Texas recruits at this game, and one of the major reasons to play this game in Cowboy Stadium is to help our recruiting in Texas. Which if we get blown out or look terrrible but win like we did vs MSU, Purdue and Temple it doesn't help much.

Kelly can get on a 6 game winning streak that isn't likely to vault the Irish to the top 10, but solidly inside the top 25 where the outcome of the Stanford game if they win doesn't drop us out of the top 25. It puts us into a position for a good bowl game, and if somehow we upset Stanford maybe even a BCS bowl game.

Yup...lots riding on this game. I hope Kelly has the team prepared well.

I'm not sure Doc, but I don't think that we have any bowl tie ins other than BCS bowls. Our ACC bowl arrangement doesn't start until next year.

Big game for the Irish. I'll be there.

Much needed win, thanks to the pick 6 by Foxy. Tommy played OK, he was less than 50% passing but did throw 3 TD's including a really great one to Nikklas. That last 3rd/1 before the FG just sucked, GAIII did some nice things but Cam would have made that 1st down, too bad he was on the bench.

I hated that we allowed that last score by ASU, and I esp hated that we let them off the hook on 3rd and 24. But 4 sacks and shut down their running game, I'll give the defense their props.
