Hey Bo Wallace: Tell us again how great your WR's are, and how you are gonna score on Bama's sorry DBs. Nice win kp. I'm sure you would have liked it to be out of reach sooner, but I saw a slow methodical throttling that really wasn't much in doubt from half time on.
I don't know what to make of this conference just yet. One year, the great offense is the hallmark of the great football being played in this conference. The next year, it's the crushing defense being played that is the hallmark. This year, the conference is all over the place. It'll be interesting to see how this all pans out. Bama's defense looks great and their offense always seems to be just better than they need to be. A&M, LSU and Georgia are just throwing it all over the yard with no real signs of defense anywhere. Arkansas is slowly starting to look like a Bielma team, which will be interesting down the road but probably not this year. Ole Miss isn't as good as their PR dept, but they aren't bad at all. Florida's D is great. I still think you're the team to beat. You have the defense and you have an offense that can do more than one thing effectively.
Oh c'mon kp! Who are you going to lose to? The only challenge you have on the regular sched is LSU at home. If you get by them Georgia probably waits in the champ game. The rest - It isn't going to be Auburn, or MSU, or Tenn...
it might be Auburn. You're new to the SEC Scott. I'll be your guide, I've got 13 years under my belt now. Auburn/Alabama is truly a 'throw out the records' game. I've personally witnessed a horse **** Auburn team playing with a 5th string scatback RB run roughshod all over Alabama. I've seen Tommy Tubberville embrace rogue boosters and criminal suspects are the 50 yard line in Tuscaloosa while openly sticking digits in the air and taunting the Tide faithful.. who stood there and took it... I would have been less shocked if the pigeons overheard exploded and turned into gold coins.. Never rule out the Barn.. never.. plus, if the game is down on the Plains, weird **** happens there.
Don't get me wrong, I NEVER discount the big rivalry games. But I can't let kp sand-bag so much as to count that game as a loss. Weird **** does happen, and they could crap the bed there, but you can't count it when trying to project the season. Sadly my rivalry game was killed by some cry-babies with too much money 90 miles west of my favorite campus.
They're going to need that money for the Mack Brown retirement fund. I'll be interested to see how the LSU-Alabama game shakes out. Will it be a shoot out? Will it be a slugfest? Both?!? I don't know, but that will be interesting.
If you watch the Alabama games closely, it's turnovers, kick returns and defensive scores mostly, and the games are close until the 2nd half. The defense is good but the secondary is inconsistent and the offensive line is not that strong and now we lost our starting center. I just feel like we are living on the edge. It's hard enough to go undefeated if you have a strong team. This team is not as good as last year's team. Hope I'm wrong.
g 76-37-5 including an 8-3 edge in the the last 10 years of the rivalry and the last game at your place with a rag armed immitation QB who makes Tommy Rees look like John Elway. 8)
And yet you won't play us... Of course it's 19-23 since 1970 (your favor) which would probably be a better comparison. A&M not all military and with women as well... We actually thank you for that last game. If Sherman hadn't been so bone-headed and run the ball more instead of throwing so much in the second half... he probably keeps his job and we miss out on Sumlin. Sometimes things that suck lead to better times...
Hey I want to play you guys. I never wanted to break it off, that was Deloss Dodds doing. I think once Deloss is gone we'll find a way to get back together on Turkey Day.
KP, My guess is that if you were dating Kate Moss, you would be on this board criticizing her cooking skills. I'll trade you the undefeated team I root for for yours
Hope A&M and Texas resume the Thanksgiving games. It would be nice to watch a competitive football game after watching the Lions implode.
Bob, Alabama is a very good team. However, it is extremely difficult to go undefeated even with a great team. You have to be great on defense, efficient on offense and very lucky. I think we are good on defense, ok on offense and so far we have been lucky. Last year we were great on defense and very good on offense. We did not get lucky when we needed to and A&M beat us. I just don't think this team is as good as last year's team. Oh yeah and I wouldn't let Kate near the kitchen or at least I'd die trying to keep her occupied elsewhere.
KP, I think you are in a better position to analyze your team than me as most Michigan fans are still too shell shocked from the beat down Bama put on us last year to think that they have vulnerabilities.
