South Alabama just played Western Kentucky at home just like we played them at home. Their game wound up 31 - 24 victory for South Alabama. Our game, the previous week, was a 52 - 20 win for the Vols. Game to game comparisons don't always mean anything but it is all I have to go on. We beat them by 32 points while they beat them by 7... 25 point difference and the spread is set at 20. The big unknown is: Who will start at QB for the Vols? How will that guy react to a lesser defense? The Vols must win this one and cover the spread to show that they are getting better. Not expecting miracles at this point but progress is not too much to ask.
You need to cruise in this one, so Butch's head doesn't explode. Never thought I'd see the day when Muschamp would be the "calm one" on the sideline... Then that fiasco happened last week...
It appears that Nathan Peterman will be starting in this game. Worley has to be concerned over what his role will be at Tennessee. He has waited two years to get his chance at the helm and now a freshman is being placed ahead of him. I feel for the kid.
Stop the presses. It appears that Worley will start and that Peterson may have dropped to the #3 guy. Riley Ferguson is the #2 guy. However, there is not that much distance between the #2 and #3 guy. Both look to get snaps against South Alabama in preparation for any injury that may happen in the Georgia game.
We are at least a year and a few players away. No offense. Good defense. We will be lucky to get 5 wins this year.
