Buckeyes will open the 2013 season vs Buffalo at noon Saturday here in the Shoe.

We will be missing three players due to suspensions, but the team, coaches and fans are anxious to start the season in style.

    From the Ozone:

Braxton Miller, Jack Mewhort, Philly Brown, Ryan Shazier, Corey Linsley, Christian Bryant, Kenny Guiton and C.J. Barnett are the captains of the 2013 Ohio State football team.

Head coach Urban Meyer has given these eight players the honor of being a captain, but the list will be pared down at the end of the season.

“It’s the first time I’ve done something like this,” Meyer told the team. “We had eight individuals receive a lot of votes, and all were within 12 votes of each other. So they’ll lead us into each game as captains and at the end of the year a decision will be made as to who will be the season’s captains.”

It will be interesting to watch Braxton Miller this year, he has a world of talent and now lots of experience. Can handle the pressure of expectations of an undefeated season and a run at the Heisman Trophy.

Braxton Miller is very low key, smiles almost all of the time and is not the least bit flustered by the media.

Baring an injury, I look for him to have a very productive year. He need not do all the rushing this year. There are some real speedsters like Donti Wilson from Desota Texas.

Today is the Day! I am anxious to see how Braxton has improved since last year.

Might be a wet one here in the Horseshoe today.

Ohio State had their moments today, Miller looked much more calm and threw for a couple TDs, but did not rush the ball a great deal. He has cable running backs this fall and really doesn't need to subject himself to possible injury.

Jordan Hall tailback, was very efficient. Kenny Guyiton threw one TD when Miller went out with cramps in his legs.

Offense is way ahead of a young and inexperienced defense.

All in all not a bad day and the rain held off during the game, noon start probably helped except for the heat.

Great game Don, we put so much into the first games that we forget its pretty much a preseason game with teeth as far as the win loss scenario.

I was disappointed to see Cane fans calling out our true freshman who dropped two touchdown passes last night. Geesh give the guy a break in his first college football game...Next week the fun begins...

Yeah it do and I liked what I saw in UF yesterday and I want to see what the Gators will look like with so many starters back for the Canes.

And it was nice to see Herbie proved so wrong...... 8)

RE; OSU.... I guess Buffalo is in the MAC also? Thing about the MAC is that the better teams can indeed upset you in a heartbeat but the bad ones are pretty bad.
