    I am absolutely amazed at this news. A huge jump in venue and coaching challenges.

    Hopefully this will be a good move for him and his family. I do question whether leaving the college scene for the NBA is a wise decision.

    He's a different kind of person and a different kind of coach from Pitino et al. While the track record of college coaches going to the NBA is not good, as the Godfather knows well, it's an offer a 36 yr. old coach would be hard pressed to refuse. My take is that whatever happens in the NBA, this move secures his future. If he ever goes back to the college ranks, he'll be as much in demand as he's been the past several years.

    The Celtics just gained thousands of fans in central Indiana.

    I think Sid has it right. I'm sure he'll get a big contract that secures his future no matter what happens. And if he fails, like Pitino he'll be able to move back to college at a good program for a lot of money.
