Per this morning's paper: (Columbus Dispatch)
The Ohio State athletic department will send a proposal to the university’s board of trustees next week seeking approval for a 2,500-seat addition to Ohio Stadium in 2014 that will cost an estimated $9 million and make it the third-largest college football stadium.
Athletic director Gene Smith confirmed the plans to The Dispatch last night.
“We are presenting to the board next week an expansion adding 2,500 seats to the south end zone,” Smith, who is on vacation, said in a text message.

Dr Gee's new seating will be at the uppermost point, about 100 yards from the playing field and no microphones allowed!

I literally sat in the top row of the stadium a few years ago for a season opener. I can tell you, I felt closer to God that day.
Will they include a complimentary telescope with these seats?

Adding 2500 seats? Hardly seems worth it. What will the ticket price be for those seats?

At $75 per ticket would bring in 1.3 million a year in admission alone, if I did the math right.

Well there will be 2500 happy fans to boot! I guess that 75$ would have to be added to what ever extra stuff they buy at the game in gear, drinks, popcorn, hotdogs, etc.

Stu and Terry, the math works for a 3-5 year payback, depending on ticket prices and, as Terry suggests, the extra concession revenue. It's a reasonable investment by normal measures.
