    Weiner following Nanny?

    Via NYDN:

ANTHONY WEINER launched his comeback tour Thursday with apologies, wisecracks and even some encouragement from voters — only to get slapdowns from the state’s top Democrat and a former porn star.

“Shame on us” if New Yorkers elect Weiner mayor, Gov. Cuomo told a Syracuse newspaper.

One of the women involved in Weiner’s sexting scandal — a former porno actress who claimed in 2011 Weiner had sent her sexually suggestive messages — also lamented that he’d gotten into the mayor’s race.

“I would just like to go on with my life and career in business without having to think about Anthony Weiner,” Ginger Lee said in a statement released through her attorney, Gloria Allred.

    Weiner For Mayor Of Pittsburgh?
Too busy texting to recognize what New York looks like? Weiner’s team has since pulled the picture of Pittsburgh off of his website.

    Via Capital New York:

The New York City skyline is one of the most recognizable in the world.

The skyline portrayed in the banner on Anthony Weiner’s campaign website isn’t it.

It’s Pittsburgh. To be precise, the banner shows the top of what appears to be the Roberto Clemente Bridge.

The snafu was noticed by several people including an employee at the University Center for Social and Urban Research at the University of Pittsburgh. A librarian in Brooklyn noticed it too, as did a Pennsylvania blog.

Poll: Dem Pervert Anthony Weiner Now Leading Race For NYC Mayor…
    [IMG]
The new face of the Democratic party.

    Via NBC NY:

Democratic mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner has surged ahead of his opponents in a new NBC 4 New York/Wall Street Journal poll, transforming himself in just a few weeks from disgraced has-been to mayoral front-runner.

Weiner, who entered the race two years after resigning his congressional seat amid a sexting scandal, now leads City Council Speaker Christine Quinn in the crowded Democratic primary, setting up a new phase in what could end up being a remarkable political comeback.

Weiner leads Quinn 25 percent to 20 percent among registered Democrats, the poll by Marist found. That’s a flip-flop from the last survey in May, when Quinn, the longtime front-runner, led Weiner 24 percent to 19 percent.

Just as telling is the number of registered New York voters who said they might vote for Weiner. Forty-nine percent said they’d consider it, up from 40 percent two months ago, before Weiner entered the race. Those who said they wouldn’t consider voting for him dropped from 52 percent to 45 percent.

If this does signal the pending end of civilization as we know it then I don't know what does.

The NYP headline this morning is " Weiner Thrusts into Lead ".

Weiner is flexible. He's trying to get a head in this race. Here we see him at Stonewall celebrating the demise of the DOMA...

NYC Mayoral Candidate Anthony Weiner Takes Al Jazeera Cash
    [IMG]
Well, hero of the left Al Gore does it.

    Via NY Post:

Oy! Jewish leaders are kvetching over Anthony Weiner’s accepting campaign cash from a lobbyist for Al Jazeera — Osama bin Laden’s favorite TV network.

City Councilman Lew Fidler (D-Brooklyn), who has endorsed former city Comptroller Bill Thompson’s mayoral bid, called on rival candidate Weiner to return the $4,950 donation to lobbyist John Merrigan.

“Al Jazeera and its lobbyists are no friends to New York City or our Jewish community, and Anthony shouldn’t accept their support,” Fidler said. “They have spread hate and lies against Jews, not only here in New York but across the world. The right thing to do is to give this money back. Anthony should do exactly that.”
