I am happy with the realignment, especially the names. I never did care for the Legends or the Leaders!

kp, it's the SEC's fault. They should have copywrited "East" and "West" when they had the chance.

Sid, you're right, man we could have made a lot of money off of that.

Till you guys sack up, I propose that you call your divisions that 'flats' and 'pumps'

    :p

I don't know enough about important rivalry games in the B1G, does this realignment knock out any?

Does the SEC allow each team to have 1 permanent rivalry game with a team in the other division? That would be the only way to maintain those rivalries on an annual basis. In the old B12 we decided not to do that so that Neb/OU game went by the wayside as an annual contest.

The SEC does allow for that..... ( Florida chose to keep perennial patsy LSU.... but then we all know how the Gators duck the toughies :D  )....

I thought though that I read somewhere where the Big XIV may not keep those ties.

There's no way that they will drop the IU-Purdue game. Just won't happen.

    So...no Little Brown Jug..?

"With the new division format, rivals Indiana and Purdue will be the only protected game between teams from the East and West divisions, ESPN.com reported last month."

The above statement is from an ESPN article on the new line-up.
