By making Iraq the battleground an unintended dividend was to flush terrorists out of their various hiding places. While we have been unilaterally under attack since the 70's by Islamic fundamentalist bastards, there was always a question as to where they originated from. I think that question has largely been answered as these cockroaches have flocked to Iraq like a moth to light. And then there's this: ( By the way, I think his estimated is understated by a couple of hundred percent ). Cairo, Egypt (AP) - The new leader of al-Qaida in Iraq said in an audio message posted on a Web site Thursday that more than 4,000 foreign insurgent fighters have been killed in Iraq since the U.S.-led invasion in 2003. It was believed to be the first major statement from insurgents in Iraq about their losses. "The blood has been spilled in Iraq of more than 4,000 foreigners who came to fight," said the man, who identified himself as Abu Hamza al-Muhajir - also known as Abu Ayyub al-Masri - the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq. The voice could not be independently identified. The Arabic word he used indicated he was speaking about foreigners who joined the insurgency in Iraq, not coalition troops. Al-Masri is believed to have succeeded Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who died in a U.S. airstrike north of Baghdad in June. In the message, the speaker also called for explosives experts and nuclear scientists to join his group's holy war against the West. "The field of jihad (holy war) can satisfy your scientific ambitions, and the large American bases (in Iraq) are good places to test your unconventional weapons, whether biological or dirty, as they call them," said the speaker.
I am beginning to side with one of my Israeli students. He was very sincere when he said: "Give Israel a small part of Nevada. Bring all Israeli people to that area. Then we will both turn the middle east into a parking lot."
Ya might call this the "two birds with one stone proposition" Not Nevada....somehow going to the"Wailing Wall Casino and Resort"just doesn't have that ommph! Now southern Arizona....that's the ticket! Right next to the border with Meheco. They could make the desert flourish and are pretty damn good at controling their borders.
