Egypt: Hundreds Of Muslims Attack Christian Stores, Churches… Never ends. ASSIUT, Egypt (AP) — Hundreds of Muslim villagers in Egypt’s south have attacked Christian-owned stores in search of a girl whose family claims was abducted. The villagers assaulted the stores Tuesday and surrounded two churches in the city of al-Wasta in Bani Suef province in Egypt’s south. Security forces guarded the churches. No casualties were reported. The college-aged girl disappeared around one month ago. The crowd accused local Christian of kidnapping her. Bani Suef’s prosecutor, Hamdi Farouk, said there was no reason to believe Christians were involved in her disappearance. Security chief Ibrahim Hudeib said the girl left her house with her gold and passport in hand and may have fled with a local Muslim boy.
Obama FAIL: America Now Less Popular In Muslim World Than At The End Of The Bush Administration… All that ass kissing for nothing. Via USA Today: [D]espite downgrading the trip, many see Obama’s arrival as the sequel to his 2009 visit to Cairo, where he announced a “new beginning” with the Muslim world. Four years later, that doesn’t auger well for renewed efforts in Israel and the West Bank. According to the latest survey by the Pew Research Center’s Global Attitudes Project, confidence in Obama in Muslim countries dropped from 33% to 24% in his first term. Approval of Obama’s policies declined even further, from 34% to 15%. And support for the United States in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Pakistan is lower today than it was in 2008 in the closing year of George W. Bush’s administration. That collapse of support has not happened elsewhere. Of all the strained relationships in the Middle East, the partnership with Israel is the most important and potentially the most easily repaired. Obama is not popular in the country. A poll released last week showed he had a scant 10% approval rating in Israel, with an additional 32% saying they respect but don’t like him. But the president is making significant symbolic gestures to heal the breach, such as visiting the grave site of Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism. It’s being interpreted as showing support for the Jewish people’s historic connection to the land of Israel, something Obama avoided in his first term.
Obama Compares Lives Of Palestinians To Treatment Of Blacks Under Jim Crow… Groan. JERUSALEM — On his stops in the Holy Land Thursday, President Barack Obama turned again and again to a subject not obviously connected to the current troubles in the mideast: the struggles of African Americans in the United States. One of the parallels the president drew—comparing the plight of Palestinians to that of blacks in the U.S.—has drawn criticism in the past when he raised it in this region. During a press conference with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, Obama said young people he’d met on the trip made him think of his own children. “Whenever I meet these young people, whether they’re Palestinian or Israeli, I’m reminded of my own daughters, and I know what hopes and aspirations I have for them,” Obama said at the Palestinian headquarters compound in Ramallah. “And those of us in the United States understand that change takes time but it is also possible, because there was a time when my daughters could not expect to have the same opportunities in their own country as somebody else’s daughters.” Obama’s comments—which invoked life under Jim Crow in the U.S. or perhaps even under slavery—seemed to give support to Palestinian narratives that describe Arabs and Palestinians as second-class citizens in Israel. That line of criticism deeply angers many Israelis. Some critics of Israel go so far as to use the word apartheid, a word that angers Israelis further.
 :!: :!: :!: re: Jim Crow - Obama himself grew up in Hawaii...the only state with a non-white majority. - He's descended from slave OWNERS on both sides of his family. His white family owned slaves in the south and his African family owned slaves in Kenya. - His children have grown up with millionaire parents who's political connections alone give them access to perks and opportunities that other Americans can only dream about. Nothing out of this guy's mouth is ever the truth. Nothing.

Syria’s Top Cleric Killed By Suicide Bomber For Backing Assad Regime Supported Blowing Up Joooos And Americans… <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/KlteuppPT4U?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0"></iframe> Via INN: A Syrian Sunni cleric who was killed last week in a suicide bomb attack on a central Damascus mosque has in the past expressed support for Hizbullah and advocated for bombing American and Israeli targets around the world. The cleric, Mohamed al-Bouti, was one of 42 people who were killed when a suicide bomber blew himself up in a mosque last Thursday. Bouti was the most senior pro-regime Sunni cleric in Syria. The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) posted to YouTube two clips in which Bouti is seen supporting terrorists. In the first clip, which aired on the Hizbullah terrorist group’s Al-Manar TV in August 2006, during the Second Lebanon War, Bouti said, “The enemy in this war appears to be Israel, but, as everyone knows, the fighting enemy is actually America. Israel is merely the claw of America in this war.” He then stated, “I hold that people who cannot stand with the Islamic resistance, but can carry out, in their countries and in other places actions that would in some way paralyze this enemy – they should indeed paralyze the enemies’ interests and destroy their facilities wherever they may be.”
Washington Man Sentenced To 18 Years In Prison For Plotting “Jihad” Attack On Seattle Military Office… Or as CAIR would call it, “MyJihad.” Via Seattle PI: A SeaTac man whose plans to wage “jihad” against a South Seattle military office were derailed by a child-molesting friend was sentenced to 18 years in prison Monday. Having admitted to planning the terrorist attack in June 2011, Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif also faces 10 years of supervised release. Abdul-Latif, 35, was nabbed after a sex offender he tried to recruit went to police; he was arrested in a sting operation before he could attack the Military Entrance Processing Station, an induction center where young recruits to all military branches take their oaths and are sent to basic training. The would-be terrorist planned to storm the East Marginal Way South center alongside Los Angeles resident Walli Mujahidh and the informant. Once inside, they were to open fire with automatic weapons and grenades on the Department of Defense workers and new recruits headed to basic training in the hope of killing as many as possible before being killed or captured.
Indonesian Islamists Threaten Catholic Church Not To Celebrate Holy Week… Anyone recall the last time a mosque was threatened with violence if they celebrated Ramadan? Jakarta (AsiaNews) – This Holy Week will be full of tensions for Catholics in West Jakarta, who put up with repeated threats over the weekend from hundreds of Islamic extremists, who tried to block access to Christ the Peace Catholic Church in Kepa Duri, an administrative area west of the Indonesian capital. Last Saturday, on the eve of Palm Sunday, Islamist groups made serious threats against Catholics in Kepa Duri, telling the priest and the faithful to cancel scheduled weekend celebrations. Their hatred was triggered by the fact that the place of worship is located inside a school, which, in their opinion, “should not be used” for religious services. The extremists tried to attack the site when the priest and some members of the congregation started a prayer meeting. As a result, Fr Matthew Widyolestari turned to the Interfaith Forum in Jakarta, which met with the leaders of the extremist protest. Contacted by AsiaNews, Fr Matthew said that Sunday services would be held “regularly, as scheduled,” which is what happened. Yesterday in fact, the faithful were able to attend Mass, also thanks to the massive deployment of security forces sent to protect their life.
Tunisian Fatwa Permits “Sexual Jihad” In Syria, Girls Encouraged To Fulfill Sexual Desires Of Jihadis Fighting Assad Regime… Sorry goats and other medium size farm animals, you’ve been replaced. Via Al-Monitor: Tunisia witnessed controversy yesterday [March 26] regarding a fatwa that permits “sexual jihad” in Syria. Tunisian Minister of Religious Affairs Noureddine al-Khadimi rejected “sexual jihad” fatwas, saying that the Tunisian people and state institutions are not obligated to adhere to them. Khadimi’s statements follow reports that Tunisian teenagers have headed to Syria in response to this fatwa. The minister stated that these fatwas have been rejected since they are “new terms that are foreign to the country.” He said that fatwas must be based on scientific, methodological and objective references. He also noted that any fatwas issued at home or abroad “only obligate those who issue them, not the Tunisian people or state institutions.” The minister’s statements came after the spread of an anonymous “sexual jihad” fatwa on the Internet calling on young women to support opposition fighters in Syria by providing sexual services. According to media reports and mujahideen who returned to Tunisia after participating in jihad in Syria, 13 Tunisian girls headed to the battlefield in response to the “sexual jihad” fatwa. News websites and social networks in Tunisia circulated a fatwa attributed to Sheikh M. A., in which he calls upon “Muslim women” to perform jihad through sex. However, sources close to the sheikh denied that he had issued the fatwa, stressing that anyone who circulates or believes it is insane. [...] Regardless of whether the fatwa is true or false, it seems to have resonated among at least 13 Tunisian girls. A few days ago, Tunisian newspapers said that a young Tunisian man divorced his wife, and that they both headed to Syria almost a month ago to “allow her to engage in sexual jihad with the mujahideen” there.
Israel Minister Calls On World Powers To Set Deadline For Military Action “In Weeks” If Iran Does Not Halt Nuclear Arms Development Via Hot Air: When is a red line not a red line? Usually when nations start approaching it. That’s when red can suddenly start looking more like salmon or dusty rose. After the failure of talks in Kazakhstan between Iran and the P5+1 group aimed at containing Tehran’s nuclear-weapons pursuit, an influential Israeli Cabinet minister demanded military action “in a few weeks” unless Iran complied with the UN non-proliferation agreement: Strategic Affairs Minister Yuval Steinitz called on world powers on Sunday to set a deadline for military action of weeks to persuade Iran to halt its nuclear enrichment program after talks ended without progress at the weekend. World powers and Iran failed again to end a deadlock in the decade-old dispute over Tehran’s nuclear program during the meeting in Kazakhstan, prolonging a standoff that could yet spiral into a new Middle East war. “Sanctions are not enough and the talks are not enough. The time has come to place before the Iranians a military threat or a form of red line, an unequivocal red line by the entire world, by the United States and the West … in order to get results,” Steinitz said. Steinitz, a close confidant of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, told Army Radio action should be taken within “a few weeks, a month” if Iran did not stop enriching uranium, although he did not elaborate. http://hotair.com/archives/2013/04/07/israeli-minister-demands-military-action-against-iran-in-weeks-after-nuclear-talks-fail/
Pakistani Taliban Continues Relentless Bombing Campaign Against Secular Politicians, “Democracy Is For Jews And Christians”… Via CNN: At least eight people were killed Sunday as the Pakistani Taliban continued to attack candidates in that country’s upcoming elections, authorities said. The Pakistani Taliban, in a statement obtained by CNN, took responsibility for the bombings at the offices of candidates in Peshawar and the Orakzai Agency. The Taliban said it targeted secular candidates, but many parties have been hit by the increasing violence. “A man cannot be secular and Muslim at a time. These are two different doctrines in nature,” the statement said. The elections in May mark the first time in Pakistan’s history that one democratically elected government will give way to another. The nation has experienced three military coups, been ruled by generals for half its life, and it remains mired in near-constant political turmoil. Pakistani Taliban leader Hakimullah Mehsud has told Pakistanis to stay away from the elections. “We are not in favor of democracy, democracy is for Jews and Christians,” he said in recent propaganda video. “They are intended to divide Muslims; we want the implementation of Sharia (law) and for that jihad is necessary,” he added. Both attacks Sunday targeted independent candidates. Five people died and 22 were wounded by Sunday’s explosion in Orakzai, said Dilawar Khan Bangish, police chief of the Kohat District. In Peshawar, three people were killed and eight wounded, said Khalid Mehmood Hamdani, a senior police official.
Note: this is right up the street from my house... Israeli Professor At U.S. College Calls Palestinian Student A “******* Cockroach” After Student Threatens To “Hunt Him Down”… Good for him. Via College Fix: A Claremont McKenna College professor from Israel who called a Palestinian student a “f**king cockroach” at a controversial Students for Justice in Palestine demonstration has apologized, but he continues to be harassed and vilified by some. The March 4 incident was thoroughly investigated by administrators at the Southern California college, who stated in an April 19 report summarizing their probe’s results that the professor called his comments “inappropriate and unprofessional.” The review largely cleared the professor of wrongdoing. After it was published, the professor also told several local news outlets he was sorry for his choice of words. What’s more, his actions did not impede the demonstration, the review found. But just for good measure, a dialogue on improving Arab-Jewish relations on campus will commence, campus officials stated. But the incident’s aftermath has festered on campus. The economics professor, Yaron Raviv, has received several harassing emails. The school’s student government has called into question the “validity” of administrators’ investigation. And the student with whom the professor engaged in the verbal altercation, sophomore Najib Hamideh, plans to file a formal grievance against Raviv. The crux of the controversy centers on the unusual Students for Justice in Palestine “street theater performance” protest last month. The review found that demonstrators blocked the entrance to a dining hall and demanded students present IDs to enter, and at times were rude to students with whom they engaged. [...] Raviv has said he went to the performance upon the request of a student who came to his office distressed by the protest. He reported he arrived to find students blocking the entrance, so he asked the dining hall manager to move them away from the door. Soon after, the verbal altercation took place, as reports indicate Hamideh – upset Raviv aimed to move them – said, “Oh, you are faculty? I will hunt you down!” The professor responded: “What? You will hunt me down? You’re a f**king little cockroach.”
Saudi Arabia May Sentence Shia Cleric To Death By Crucifixion… Fun fact: Saudi Arabia’s justice system is governed solely by the Koran. Via Al Akhbar: On 25 March 2013, at the first court hearing of prominent Shia cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr, a Saudi prosecutor called for “death by crucifixion.” The prosecutor invoked haraba, a form of Islamic punishment enforced by the Saudi government, involving crucifixion and dismemberment. The cleric’s brother, Mohamed al-Nimr, told Al-Akhbar that the court had convened unexpectedly. He believed the timing to be suspicious, given the mounting protests in Saudi by families of detained Islamists. Mohamed, a Saudi businessman who often travels to Beirut, said that the Saudi government’s claim about uncovering an Iran-linked spy ring is a diversion from the persistent calls for reform. The government continues to distract by asserting that the kingdom is facing bigger enemies and threats, namely, Iran and the Shia. Concerning the prosecution’s push for sentencing his brother to crucifixion, Mohamed said that the penalty is generally accepted in the kingdom and is stipulated in Islamic law as the harshest form of capital punishment. The death penalty in Saudi Arabia can take the form of beheading by sword, a firing squad, or less frequently, crucifixion. According to Mohamed, the haraba punishment is usually reserved for those who cause “great mischief in the land.”
Iran Brings Back Stoning As “Islamic Punishment”… Weasel Zippers: Scouring the bowels of the internet Iran Brings Back Stoning As “Islamic Punishment”… The 7th century is alive and well. (Rooz) — The controversial “Islamic Punishment” law that was rejected by the Guardians Council returned and eventually was passed last week. To the disappointment of human rights activists and the promises of some Majlis representatives, not only stoning is not negated in the law, it is in fact emphasized. Hamid-Reza Tabatabai, the vice-chairman of Majlis’s judiciary committee told the press, “Stoning is not negated in the new “Islamic Punishment” law. Its execution has been modified. This was requested by the Guardians Council. According to the law stones do not have to be used to implement the law and hanging, or other innovative methods by the judiciary, can be used to accomplish the same goal.” He did not provide details about what those “innovative methods” of the judiciary could be. But recently, an extremist Muslim group in neighboring Iraq used an innovative method of the act by throwing blocks of cement on the head of the victim. Recently the judiciary of the Islamic republic of Iran in the city of Shiraz unveiled an apparatus that had been built to dismember a person’s body organ. As reported by ISNA the tool is nothing but an electric saw made to cut off a person’s fingers. French news AFP compared the tool to the medieval torture tools. http://www.roozonline.com/english/news3/newsitem/archive/2013/april/30/article/stoning-returns-as-punishment.html
Notice that the sign is in ENGLISH. Is this a Iranian population posed photo asking for American intervention or a Iranian government posed photo thumbing their collective noses at human rights activists? I say let them kill off each other any way they see fit and turn Israel loose on what's left.
Report: Israel Launches Airstrikes On Targets In Syria… Just thinking about attacking Israel is a death sentence. (CNN) – The United States believes Israel has conducted an airstrike into Syria, two U.S. officials tell CNN. U.S. and Western intelligence agencies are reviewing classified data showing Israel most likely conducted a strike in the Thursday-Friday time frame, according to both officials. This is the same time frame that the U.S. collected additional data showing Israel was flying a high number of warplanes over Lebanon. One official said the United States had limited information so far and could not yet confirm those are the specific warplanes that conducted a strike. Based on initial indications, the U.S. does not believe Israeli warplanes entered Syrian airspace to conduct the strikes. Both officials said there is no reason to believe Israel struck at a chemical weapons storage facilities. The Israelis have long said they would strike at any targets that prove to be the transfer of any kinds of weapons to Hezbollah or other terrorist groups, as well as at any effort to smuggle Syrian weapons into Lebanon that could threaten Israel. The Lebanese army website listed 16 flights by Israeli warplanes penetrating Lebanon’s airspace from Thursday evening through Friday afternoon local time.
My uncle the General worked extensively with the Israeli Air Force during his career. He said they have the second best Air Force in the world to our own. And that they are not second by much. Of Course they fly our technology and they are fully equipped. The planes we sell the Saudis are for show only. They do not have the latest avionics.
Report: Israel Bombs Targets In Syria For Second Time In Two Days… Israel on the warpath. BEIRUT (WaPo) — Israeli warplanes bombed the outskirts of Damascus early Sunday morning for the second time in two days, according to Syrian state media and reports from activists, signaling a sharp escalation in tensions between the neighboring countries that had already been exacerbated by the conflict raging inside Syria. Videos posted on the Internet by activists showed a huge fireball erupting on Mount Qassioun, a landmark hill overlooking the capital on which the Syrian government has concentrated much of the firepower it is using against rebel-controlled areas surrounding the city. The official Syrian news agency SANA said that a scientific research facility had been struck by an Israeli missile, and a banner displayed on state television said the attack was intended to relieve pressure on rebel forces in the embattled eastern suburbs. The banner was accompanied by martial music and footage of Syrian soldiers marching, descending from helicopters and firing rockets, indicating that Syria may not shrug off the assault as it has with some Israeli strikes in the past. A subsequent video suggested further strikes were taking place in the same location, though the number was unclear.
